My mom definitely, we mostly get along well.

My dad passed away in February, but I was always closer to my mom, whilst my younger brother was always closer to our dad.

Generally children got only slightly more genetic material from mothers but more than 99% of genes aren't active, I think more genes get activated from mothers, what doesn't mean genes of father don't get activated in next generation.

Well they were divorced when I was one I didn't meet my real dad until I was 30 something and he just passed away about a month before my mom did so I was closer to my mom plus I had to take care of her for 4 years she had dementia Alzheimer's I would say I was closer to her

Ummmm... can I say neither. As far as I can tell my parents and I were from different universes. I was alien to them and they were alien to me. I studied them like test subjects. I understood the reality they came from. But it wasn't my reality. My theory has always been that I was a baby who was switched at the hospital at birth, LOL. The major emotion I came away with relative to my parents was pity.

I had a difficult relationship with my dad. Communication level was close to zero. He was very reserved and distant, or so it seemed to me when I was a kid and teenager. Probably a good part of it was my fault as well.

Thanks for asking. Well, it can't be changed now. He passed away a few years ago. Due to my relocation to another country, even a simple goodbye was not an option.

Fortunately I'm very close with both. If I have to choose then I'll probably give my mom the edge, but in the end I have a great relationship to both and I hope that it will always stay like that.

I would say my mom by a little bit but it's 'cuz my dad is just such a guy, lol! I mean, he's funny and awesome and all that but can be kind of closed. Me and mom have the "girl secrets" and all that.

One of my most recent favorite memories is when we went to Lake of the Ozarks to look at a boat he wanted to buy. Had lots of fun and the boat is definitely a dad and Abby thing.
