Dog grief how to handle?

It’s been 3 months since I lost my husky. He passed away in February and I miss him so much. He’s was my best friend and I miss petting and spending time with him. It’s so hard without him. He would help me with a lot of things and it just sucks without him. We had to put him down because he was very sick and old. How can I handle the grief? Losing a dog is like losing a family member 😥 I miss him so much.

Oh my I've been through this once with my cat and swore not to never get another pet ever again. The heartbreak was brutal especially because I lost him to an accident. It was so sad, I was in my 20s and my cat was everything to me. Everything reminded me of him and I missed him for a long time, I still do. I used to have a picture of my cat as a screen wallpaper and I had to remove it because I would break into tears at work every time I checked my phone. It really feels like losing a family member and all I can say is that time will heal your wounds. Surround yourself with family and friends who love you during this time. You need to distract yourself. Hope you feel better soon.
