How did the 19 Duggar siblings survive each other: strict structure or sibling bond?

Well my family was no where near the size of the Duggars we still had lots of rules. They weren't as strict like we had TV and Internet. Even if we just had Sky Angel and Antenna when I was really young lol. I think having structure is good, but when the structure is to strict kids rebel. I was very rebellious as teen :P

The thing with them is they have so many kids I feel like this family would have functioned more like a boarding school then a Family. They even had some kids who acted as a kind of RA. Their bed rooms were more like dorms then bed rooms. I also feel like they saw their kids more as soldiers to train rather then kids to love. Which as a new mom is making me cry a bit.

Anyway with a house like that it makes sense that they have turned out 2 Pedos

my elder son also takes care of small kids so it becomes easy.

im not near that family but i think that elder sibling act more as care takers

Not just him, but another one I think the second oldest got arrested for the SA of a little girl. I have a feeling that home was a horror show growing up

I'm sure it was. It sure what was on TV was total smoke and mirrors.

I bet there was a lot of shaming in that family. Kids expected to tow the line and not be able to express themselves. How can you possibly recognize a kid and make them feel seen with that many children.

I think they misconstrued having lots of kids with the idea that that means they love kids. But you can't possibly be a good parent with such a dividend attention
