Can you keep a secret? Maybe more to the point; can you keep someone else’s secret?

I can keep a secret. I keep my own secrets flawlessly. But i have also kept other people’s secrets. Not all of them. Some secrets should not be kept hidden. Every time someone i cared about asked me to keep their confidence, i have.
I can’t say the same of people that i have asked to keep my secrets. They always say that they will keep my secret safe, and then it always gets out “somehow”. So i don’t tell my secrets anymore. Better safe than sorry.
Can you keep other people’s secrets safe? Try to be honest because a lot of people who don’t keep secrets claim that they can. Usually the ones who would admit it don’t even need to because everyone knows who the habitual gossips are! 😂😂

Been keeping a secret about an ex friend since I was 13. The secret has evolved into now I know what she lied about ☺️

Yes. But typically when people tell you a "secret" they run off and tell everyone else that same secret. So while i can keep a secret it's generally pointless.😆
