What do you do when you have a big secret that you're keeping from your significant other?

I have a secret dealing with my finances that I am keeping from my boyfriend. It's not so big that it will end the relationship but we usually tell each other everything and it's killing me not to be able to tell him this.

We don't live together yet so I don't think it's a huge deal to not tell him about my financial situation but we will soon some time next year and it may be a big factor then. So my question is should I tell him now or wait until we're closer to moving in together?

If it’s gonna affect him then I’d try to tell him about it if I were you especially if it’s about your finances and you’re moving in together soon. You don’t always have to tell your partner everything but do you think he really needs to know about this secret? What are you expecting from him after he’s learned this secret of yours? How do you expect him to react?

I definitely think he needs to know as it will affect him somewhat when we move in together but I don't think I need to tell him until we are about to move in together which is months from now. I think he will be okay with it but a bit shocked.
