Trending & News They thought they were doing the right thing by being controlling, not realizing that it does more harm than good. I was the most logical in the family, and I developed faster than my siblings, so while our controlled upbringing made them be all emo and want to live a life of wild abandon, it instead pushed me to think realistically about growing up and getting out of that life.
One thing I learned is that your parents' mistakes do one of two things to you: either break you and make you a weakling full of self-pity, or pushes you to be stronger and want a life of your own free of anything that will harm you or your peace.
No, they you divorced when I was in high school so they were not vary hands on when I was a teenager
I don't feel that way about my parents. They may have slowed me down in areas out of caution and safety, but I never felt like I was being held back by them.

Nah, no way, but they were never around much either.
Yeah my childhood was messed up and my 18-21 wasn't any better. Only got better now that I live alone at 21. The messed me up a lot.
