Does it mean he is not attracted to you or you are just not his type or both? I do have a good heart. Even girls have told me that I'm one of the nicest people they have ever met.

Oh, if you want the exact interpretation, it really depends upon the guy...

But the bottom line is he does not want to date you.

If he's being literal and he's close to you, one possible reason is that he doesn't want to ruin his friendship with you. That's probably the most positive interpretation, but I'm not sure if it should change anything for you.

Otherwise, he's politely trying to tell you he's not attracted to you.

When a guy says this to you, he's letting you know that you're a great, sweet person who has an amazing personality, but he just doesn't find himself attracted to you as more than a friend.

(1) You are his type, and he might even be attracted to you, but he's not ready for you. He may be afraid of hurting you. (A guy told me he didn't want to have sex with me because he respected me too much -- yet we'd been making out for hours and he was definitely turned on, etc.)

(2) You're not his type and he's letting you down easily. (Some guys default to "It's me, not you.")

If he says he likes you as a friend it means, move on basically.

Can't tell if he's not attracted to you based on that simple line because I have no idea what you look like, etc. But it may just be you're like a sister or something to him.
