My friend is bi?- does she like me? staring, touching, at me?

Okay, so one of my friends has recently told a lot of people that she's bisexual. I'm in a fairly close friendship circle with her, and I am the only one in our group that she hasn't told. I don't want to push her into telling me because we do talk to each other, but we're not best friends, either. I catch her looking at me a lot and it makes me feel strange, somehow. Not that I like her in that way, but just this weird feeling. Anyway, she tries to get my attention a lot and uses every excuse to poke or touch me. She won't tell me she's hi even after I went to the gay/straight alliance with her a few times. I'm straight, but I don't feel like I'm a bad friend, and I accept different sexualities, so why won't she tell me? Does she like me or just not feel comfortable telling me? Please help, I'm so lost and confused!

She might assume you already know. I have a classmate who's either a lesbian or bi. I asked her one time if she was a lesbian, she said yes. I said I assumed so, but wasn't quite sure and was just asking. She said she assumed it was out there and that I already knew. Then I asked if she was bi or strictly girls, and she said she's not looking for a man but it doesn't matter who she likes - she likes them. I've never known her to date any guys, though.

About her liking you - that's possible. I wouldn't read too much into it, though. My girlfriend is bi. I know she likes girls, and has been with them in the past (though no relationships with any). I also know in a relationship she's faithful. That doesn't stop her from checking girls out, though. It's actually somewhat refreshing to me because everyone knows even if a guy's in a relationship, he's gonna look. He might try not to, but he'll notice a good looking girl. Instead of getting mad, she'll actually point a girl out and say she's cute or hot and ask my opinion. I don't have to hide looking at a girl and saying she looks good or anything like that. She knows I won't cross any boundaries, just like I know she won't. That doesn't mean she doesn't act friendlier toward girls she finds attractive. She doesn't try anything with them, though.

While you may be reading her right, and she's hiding the fact that she likes you because she knows you're straight and friends, you also might be off a bit and she might just think you're attractive and is friendlier, but won't try anything...and she might also think you already know she's bi.

Did you start thinking she likes you after you found out she was bi? How about before you found out she was bi? Did you wonder if she liked you before she told you?

Honestly, if the thought never crossed your mind before she came out, I would say it is probably paranoia. I don't know what it is with people, but once someone finds out that someone of the same-sex is bi or gay, they automatically start thinking that they are hitting on them.

No, it is not the case. Not every bi and/or gay person is going to like you.

If anything, it is paranoia.
