Do Men Sister-zone girls? can they ever get out?

I already accepted that my crush is not interested right now as he is taken, but I can’t help but feel that most men see me as a sister and a lot will say, “we’re all part of a family now.”

so, dudes, do you find that you sister-zone girls and they can never get out?

i guess what I mean is this guy is aware of me, but its not in a romantic way or anything--i think. if I'm sad or looked frazzled, he'll be the first one over to check up on me. he tells people how great I am, or he'll give me advise about things. He always asks how my day is or how my week is going, what my future plans are. he'll tell me what he's up to and what his fam is up to. he's super polite all the time, but he's silly. but that's him being brotherly isn't it?

There's only been two girls I'm completely sure of being interested in me. The other one was so annoying and horrible person I don't even want to have anything to do with her (long story..). With the other person it just got so awkward that we aren't exactly friends anymore. So no I haven't sister-zoned girls, because all the other female friends are well.. friends.

To answer the original questions. Yes some men probably do so, but most probably do it without even realizing it themselves. And no it you can't get out of it because if a guy thinks of you as a sister, there's no way he will ever think of you sexually ..unless they're into incest...

i would say that there are very few guys who actually "sister zone" girls. there are usually only two explanations for this and they would be he's not interested at all yet still values you as a friend or that he likes you too much to risk losing you by dating before he's ready to commit long term.

I tend to get put into the "one of the guys" category by my guy friends. I don't think they'll ever see me differently, so I'll just have to look else where.

These are just 'terms' and anything can still happen down the road. People mature, break up with their gfs/bfs, change for the better (hopefully), and then people will see them in a different light. The question is...how long are you willing to wait or stick it out? One thing I learned is that you never close any options...friend or otherwise!

I've never heard that term before, but I'd say no we don't because guys would still have sex with you, not like when a guy is friend zoned and he has no chance in hell of getting laid.

The only two girls I say "she's like my little sister" I have known all my life. I don't think I would ever say that to anybody else. And as for dating them not happening.

Sister zone is really just a form of friend zone. But it's all subjective anyway.

In general girls can more easily get out of the friend zone than guys can, but it all depends.

You should forget about him now that he's taken.
