Why am I always the FRIEND never the GIRLFRIEND?

alright well lets see, I'm 19 and single which I don't really like being. I'm having a really hard time finding someone to date, but seems like guys just want a hookup and nothing more than or they see me as just a friend. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. or if they are just shallow and don't want a girl like me. I'm flirty, shy at first but once I feel comfy wit you ill be outgoing. I'm down to earth and everything in between just don't know why I'm always the friend. or the hook up

It kind of matters the guys you're looking for. They may not be looking for a relationship so they might not want to mess up their friendship with you by hooking up with you. I don't know, I have the same problem to, I try to be more feminine and flirty but I think when people truly like you, you don't really have to overtly flirt. You just gotta look harder for those kind of guys I guess.

Exactly. theyre always like maybe yu shud date different guys. believe me I like to keep my options open don't stick to one specific type. but I'm always gettin the ones that want jus a hook up. I don't know what to do nemore lol.

I know that what I try to do but these days guys are just "man-whores" as my sister says. Their just scared of having a real relationship.

Don't worry about it. The Friend zone is evil... but there's a rule, a rule that... most humans abide by.

Assuming the guy(s) you're friend(s) with is straight. Eventually, he'll come around and finally be attracted to you. Men and Women cannot be friends for long. It's impossible. (Unless they're already hooked up or married).
