You've planned to meet someone, somewhere and you show up right on time or a little bit early. They are not there and are unresponsive to your calls and texts.

I am always on time, I am NEVER late. I will not disrespect someone else and their time no matter what. Yet I think I've been being way too nice because on average I wait around at least 1 to 2 hours, due to how far I have to drive to get into the city.

Yet no matter how long I wait, as soon as I leave to go home, it never fails. I get a text saying "I'm so sorry, (Insert stupid ass lame, probably lying excuse) are you still there, are we able to still meet?"

Usually, this is 5 to 15 minutes AFTER I gave up waiting for them.

Then if I say no, I've already wasted enough time and energy they think I'm a bitch and mean for not turning around and going back to meet them.

The most common excuse I hear is, that they fell asleep and just woke up.

I just want to say are you too stupid to know how to use an alarm? 😂 because they literally KNOW I have to drive 80 miles + round trip just to go into the city to meet them and they be disrespecting my time, money and all that.

I don't feel they are sorry at all and have started calling people on that, when they say they are so sorry, I say "No you are not, or you would of been there on time."

How long do you wait around for someone?

I think my younger brother is a weird case for a modern society. He's only 24 years old and his wife just had their 2nd child (a girl) last month. He was just 22 when they had their 1st child.

Considering that it's a modern world and everything is more expensive, isn't a man in his early 20's too young to be a provider? I know my parents help them in the beginning and they're doing good now.

Part 2 of question (write answer because the voting is only for part 1) . What if the kid stole food from your child?

The kid is SHORT, but from his mobility I can see he is at MINIMUM 7 years...

I think doing nothing might show we don't care enough or are too lazy about making society a better place and/ or reducing the risk of the kid crossing bad people, by teaching him a peaceful lesson... but it is forgivable if we are just too nervous or really have no time lol (which is unlikely when sitting at a restaurant.)...
I think I'd have a calm talk with his parents. He might do it to the wrong person and get into a lit of trouble. In the past, I knew it was the whole community helping to raise a kid. As long as you have the parent's permission, that is beneficial in my opinion.

He is NOT going to listen to you lol. So no sense talking lol.

My family wants FLY OUT to visit omfg that means I gotta entertain their asses and once they fly out here who knows when tf they're going home. It's one thing if they lived in the same city they drive over, visit then go home. But noooo they wanna fly

I have asked similar questions in the past and was amazed at how many parents, or future parents, especially males, said they would rather their kid did it at some seedy hotel in the bad part of town, at who knows who's house, or in the back seat of a car rather than in the safety of their home where they at least know they are OK and can have talks with them about safe sex and pregnancy prevention.

Do parents like this just not care about their kids, like 'go play in the street and leave me alone'?

Obviously, they don't want them doing it at all but this is not facing reality. They are going to do it if they want to.
