I would like to discuss how insecurities can be combated by self-confidence. This is a dedication to everyone who was scared of never dating or having friends because of acne, or weight problems, or any other insecurity.
I'm not beautiful. I'm a little overweight, odd body shape, cystolic acne, and wildly frizzy curly hair. Because of these things I never thought I could amount to anything more than a background character in the stage of life, and that I would never have friends, or get into a relationship with someone who would love me forever. Looking at the many posts and questions asked on this forum, I see that I am not the only one. Many of you reading this may be scared of your future as being alone because of how you look, but I am here to tell you that there is a way to "conceal" your blemishes without damaging your self-esteem or your bank account, and that is Confidence, flaunting your acne or curves or crazy hair and making it something you love about yourself.

I invite you to take a look at the people you consider to have it all: looks, bubbly personality, friends, relationships, whatever it is that you want for yourself. Look closely at their face or body. I guarantee that they have a few inches of fat around the thigh, or some acne, or arm hair, or anything else that the world considers ugly. They have it too, just like you. So how are they so well-liked? The secret is that they don't let their insecurities bother them, and they take the world on like they own it. As a reduced, everyone notices their huge smile, or the Way they bounce in their step, or the compassion with which they listen to what others have to say. Their acne or other blemishes falls to the wayside and suddenly the only thing that matters is that people want to be around them, and feel their radiant influence every day.

A couple of short years ago I decided to take this approach, to flaunt my weird leg curves and cystolic acne and crazy hair as something part of my personality, where it can be associated with goodness and joy. I'm now student body president, have many great friends, and a damn sexy boyfriend who tells me every day that he loves me. Never forget that you can do amazing things just by embracing yourself for who you are. Love yourself, and others will follow.
