The hair is getting shorter and shorter - even shorter than a pixie cut - if you're bold enough:

Short bob, dark color, mid parting:

A longer bob, side parting, wavy, shabby chic - messy yet put together, baby hairs visible:

So to sum up: BOB is the winner this season! Fall and most definitely winter is loving this haircut! In all its forms!

Up until about 2 months ago, I had long hair that was getting stuck in EVERYTHING. Grabbed a pair of scissors and just went for it... a la bob! Love love LOVE my short hair! I feel so care free with it! Definitely the way to go; so surprisingly feminine feeling to have!

Most gals look better with longer hair, short hair only some women can pull that off.

I thinks shoulder length hair is more aesthetically pleasing and the majority of young women don't suit short hair. Most girls and young women I've seen have shoulder length hair or slightly longer. I doubt it would change so quick and the new trends would take over so fast. Most women and guys seems to like the long hairstyle on women better.
