Yup...didn't expect that, did ya?!

Well...let's understand why this is:

For the longest time blonde has been the most popular hair color...it still is in many ways... It's used to get noticed, to be more sexually desirable, to look more innocent and angelic, but in the last couple of years women have been leaning towards bronde.

Bronde is a lighter brown color that is morphing into blonde.

Now women have moved on from bronde to brown...but not just any brown.

The most popular hair color now and in the near future is and will be brown with light brown/blondish highlights:

The more and more natural root colors are popular...and now the more and more natural entirety of the hair with some dimension created with highlights is what's most desirable.

That may or may not be known as dirty blonde? Ah fashion these days amuses me, with its stupid made up words for things that either were already named or should not have been named!

However, as a brown haired girl, I'm happy to hear I'm lookin all hip and trendy rn 😂

Also, is it just me who finds blonde the worst hair colour? I see that it's good for getting across certain traits like innocence, but honestly I just find it unattractive...

I think Blondes were popular in the 50s/60s/70s. Today They are Not.

I think it came from the (stereotype) that blondes are dumber/easier.

Just look at the dating shows... the girls that get asked out the most on say (Bachelor in paradise) are ALL dark haired girls... Black was actually chosen the Most this season.

FYI, NONE of my Girls/FWBS have EVER been blondes.

I've actually been seeing a lot of natural copper shades in trends, this is from a stylist's point of view so I don't know what other's are shooting for, I just see a rise in warm tones (I've seen a lot of bright yellow) in contrast to past years silver and cool tones.

Lucky to have naturally brown hair but I have a lot of greys for someone my age. Used to dye it from self consciousness but for a year now have said fuck it. If someone doesn't like me because I have grey hair I don't want to know them anyway

I'm pale and it washes my complexion out. I've been dark brunette but looked even more pale. Blondes are my only option besides red. I've always wanted to try auburn but I think it would wash me out too.

Dude I used to be like you, I do indeed do what I want and I'm happier for it, I'm just advising you to do the same. Cos it really lifts a weight of your shoulders when you start paying more attention to how you want to appear to yourself than how you wanna appear to others. I know I know it's a big deal now, but we've all been teenagers at some point and it's important to push forward your maturity!
