So end result? People don't care. They just act like you are normal. Unless anyone can see an awkward face because I sure did not. Kind of gives guys a little more confidence to try random stuff like wearing a kilt to go shopping

Final verdict? I always wondered why girls wore leggings in the summer and yes they are hot and you do sweat in them! I have used them during the winter however and they work great for long johns under clothes. 2nd no pockets lol, I guess that's why women have purses.... 3rd it is crazy watching your legs jiggle every once in while. You don't feel it as much as you see it. and the private area really does not feel any different but then I did leave my boxers on..

so there you have it, a male view on the experience of leggings...….

Boys did that at my school once and got leggings banned haha because they had some very obvious bodily "Differences". As long as I don't see your thang, dress and wear what you want, go for it! But, just as I don't want to see a girls cameltoe, I dont want to see a guys penis lump (Humps? IDK?). So I guess the same rules that apply to all clothing for all genders applies here, as long as your covered I am in support! There are thinner leggins we wear in the summer, it appears to me that you had athletic leggings which are no good for summer but better quality and good for winters, also typically more expensive than the thin 7$ ones. Last but not least THEY FINALLY MAKE LEGGINS WITH POCKETS!!!

as for the verdict:
1) shorts are for summer. leggings are either worn to the gym or as a fall/spring outfit
2) no "girl" type pants have pockets. even the ones on our jeans are too small to put stuff in #womenstruggles

Well at least it's not completely socially unacceptable to wear leggings... but I agree it depends on the shape you are in too

Generally, it is socially acceptable if you train some sports.
It is NOT if you wear it casually.

by the way just an interesting tidbit, we aren't the first ones to use leggings in history. During the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance period it was fashionable to wear tight panty make of thin, flexible leather, just to mention an example. It also offered greater mobility than baggy trousers, and as such you can commonly see people dressed in leggings in fencing manuals - not unlike today's MMA fighters, who commonly wear leggings.
