My bf at the time saw me. Tons of times with no make up on Skype and pictures. But I love make up too I make it look natural I have acne scars and I prefer to cover them up. So to me it's not deceptive although he saw me completely make up free. I am not one of those people who never let their their significant other see them without make up.

agreed if he actually gets to see you without it but there are girls who never allow us to see them "au naturale"
Because in another era those women would still be considered beautiful without it. But our era we're so used to the image of women WITH makeup we ALWAYS see "unattractive, plain, tired" without it... why? Because women dobt naturally have colored pigments on their eyelids or black lines on their lashline etc etc... but we're so used to that image when you take it away it's almost universally jarring and "less attractive"
Unless you date a girl who wears drag makeup 24/7 ad refuses you to let her see you without it then no. Makeup is mean to enhance beauty. The women you posted are models and actresses. Chances are you won't be with a normal girl who look red carpet or photo shoot ready. Also being honest in a relationship and some damn makeup are literally not even close in comparison. I ask would hope that men aren't so dense they would assume makeup is somehow natural.

It is deception. It's trying to make yourself look better and appealing. For example, you have 10 cars. They are all Cadillacs. They are all the same, but you can customize the wheels, rims, windows, etc. But in the end it's still the same car.
The irony of makeup is that you use it to make yourself look better but your at the same time making yourself look worse overtime.
If you think a woman is being deceptive about who they are because they are wearing makeup, then it shows that you are only focusing on her outward appearance, and looks aren't everything. If it's a one night stand sort of thing, then so what? You're never going to see her again, and she looks attractive on that night, who cares.

if it's a one night stand it's a thing of pride and no i am not shallow i am realistic looks are half of the reason we like people.
Dude, you've got to be kidding me if you think looks are 50% of the reason people date each other. 20% sure, but 50? That's a pretty shallow insinuation. I'm guessing you don't get out much.
@miserybusiness it's at least half and i have enough life experience to come up with this conclusion and it's not just guys in fact women tend to be more shallow than guys.
Okay there, OP. I never said women aren't shallow. After your other comment, I can tell that it'll be impossible to reasonably debate this. Stay in your little bubble of delusion.
yes, because not wearing any makeup at all shows the most truth. therefore there's gotta be some deception. i dont wear makeup (though i tried it a few times) because it ruins my skin, and pulls out my eyelashes :/
I think in a sense it's deceptive if it's used to enhance beyond how you actually look.
I don't wear makeup. When I do I apparently look younger (I thought it made you look more mature?)... but even so I'm not good enough at it to change my looks like that haha.
it depends on how much people put on it's possible to put it on and still look like yourself. the girl in the first picture looks like a doll and i don't get how anyone finds that attractive. it looks terrible. less is always more when it comes to makeup. also your second pictures are of two diff people. i like wearing makeup but not to the point i look like a doll. the girls who do that are the ones who are idiots. the rest of us who wear little or none are better.
I think it depends. But girls don't always wear makeup to impress guys. It's to help them with their confidence. It really does make a difference in their self esteem levels. If that's what they like then let it be. But if they insist the look pretty much the same without makeup to try and win you then there's a problem. But guys should know that she'll look different without makeup. Not like a total transformation change but a fairly normal amount of change. If that makes sense.
I feel a little makeup should be no problem at all. For example, all i usually wear is eyeliner and chap stick. Sometimes for a more important event i will put a bit more on, never a full face of makeup. I think a lot of makeup is not nessecary. Especially if you are in a relationship you should feel comfortable around your guy with nothing on, that is important in a relationship. Besides, every girl looks better without makeup, because it is the fact that it's your face
I feel make up just improves what you already have, it doesn't deceive but I know some girls wear way too much and they look completely different which I guess you could count as deceptive, but I think most girls use enough to enhance their face, not change it.
Ok i can see if you use little makeup. When i say little i mean a little eyeliner and mascarra maybe a light brush of eyeshadow. Anything more than that is plastic looking. If she looks to perfect she probably is. Come on you can't tell me that a girl has a pond of makeup on. If they do they look porclin or fake. I don't know maybe that is just me
Makeup is only deceptive if its used heavily on someone who never wears it. I hardly ever wear makeup but I do wear a BB cream with a hint of foundation and use a lip gloss. If I'm going on a night out I wear a slightly foundation so there isn't much difference to when I don't wear it at all.

So whine about it. God forbid you accidentally sleep with an average looking girl.
Funnily enough, I only ever wear makeup when I'm going out with my family or friends. I never wear it in front of my boyfriend. Why? Because I'm not wearing it for the benefit of guys. Surprise!
I think makeup ENHANCES your beauty... So if you're pretty and you apply make-up to your best features you will look even better.. I think the best beauty is the kind that is deceptive.. As in: "WOW you look like a completely different person"
Makeup is intended to enhance one's beauty, but many women use it to create something they don't have, e. g. ridiculously narrow noses and unrealistically enormous eyes. Ha ha...
I think if a guy is stupid enough to think I naturally have purple lips and black eyeliner and maybe eyeshadow. They need help. Every girl I've met agrees we don't wear it for you. So f off.

you do know not all women go out with glamour right? so f off
I think. most womem are beaitiful anyway with or without makeup but it does make them a little sexier when they get all dolled up besides i think women like looking hot for their man and really i thimk the personality is the hottest thing on a girl because she might have a slammin body but its nothing if she stuck up.
I use makeup to hide imperfections- covering up one of my bigger zits, hiding my dark circles, or covering up redness isn't deceptive- it's what I look like without the temporary blemishes. In a way, it's even more honest.
If you use a normal amount of make-up, by that I mean powder and mascara, there's nothing deceptive about it. You just show that you don't want to look like you've completely "abandoned" yourself. But if you spend hours painting your face and changing it into something else with tons of contouring and eye-shadows, it's kind of deceptive. Guys, I'm sure you see a girl with too large amount of make-up, so in my opinion, it's you who takes the risk. :D
