Hi i like a lot of japanese kawaii clothes. I like to wear pleated skirts with high socks and other cute things. I love the Himekaji skirts , that mini skirts full of ruffles. My boyfriend said he dont like the idea of me wearing this clothes , because it will attract a lot of attention of perverted men. He said that im so innocent to think that everything is cute. You as a men if you see a girl on the street with this type of clothes , what you think? I honestly think that most guys dont find this attractive , i know a lot of them like see girls with high socks , but the rest... i dont see anything special. Tell me honestly what you think?

I wear Lolita (I'm a sweet Lolita) and Fairy kei, and I'd like to wear gyaru someday. What I think you should do is say fuck it and wear what you want to wear. i would love to join ! i like so much japanese fashion , animes and other things , its my dream to visit japan and ilove korea too. I regret making this question , because most of the people didn't understand what im tring to ask. For me is difficult because im portuguese. I love this clothes but my problem is that most of this clothes are very small and dont fit european girls , so i have plans in the future to create my own clothes and sell them. I would love to make friends that love the same things that i love.
They're only small if you choose the wrong size. If you go maybe one size up you'll usually fine something that fits, and sometimes they do have your normals size. You cam also make requests for custom fitting.
Lol sorry I'm late girly! Just woke up. But yeah @Asker you can wear whatever you like. I'm not the typically petite size some lolitas are (I'm a US size 8/thick thighs >_<) so I always have to choose the biggest size available or just look for pastel/princess like pieces in america here
It is all very cute to me. Yes I would look at the outfit and at your legs. Just because I guy finds your clothes attractive and looks at your legs does not mean he is a pervert! I think your boyfriend is a bit jealous that you look so good in them. I am sure other girls wear that style too.
yes i think too , he dont like when other guys come talk to me. I like some of this clothes but some of them i think look too childish. I want to create my own version of it.
i like unique things , im an artist and very creative person its a natural part of me. I like everything that is different. I like and respect all styles , and the reason i like some of the japanese fashion clothes is because they have details and they are more girly type , must of the clothes in Europe the cut of the clothes are the same , dont have anything special. My style its little bit complicated i want to create something that is cute , adorable feminine but elegant and little bit sexy sometimes.

yeah its true. I find interesting , i like a lot of things about japan , they have other concept of beauty , here in Europe i think the fashion industry sexualize too much the woman.
i know that , but generally this type of skirts have shorts underneath. The lenght is a problem , the Asian girls are smaller than us , this is one of my reasons that im learning some books of fashion design , i want to create my own version.

Showing leg above the knee in Lolita is actually a big no no in the fashion. As a person who wears it I can tell you have no idea what the Lolita fashion really is and what it's actually about.
I do know what Lolita the book/movie is and what Lolita the fashion is and the two are actually completely unrelated to each other. It's like how you can have a stripper name Alice and a innocent bookworm who like school named Alice. They're not related to each other in anyway, but the only thing they have in common is their names. It's also like how you have football (soccer) and football (American football) that share the same name, but are also unrelated to each other. One is actually a modest and innocent fashion based on the rococo and Victorian era's and the other is a book/movie made by some sick pedo. Also, the fashion based off of that disturbing book/movie is called the nymphet fashion which is completely unrelated to the Lolita fashion. Also Lolita is really just a name, and it was a normal name before it ever became the name of a sick book/movie. People are still being named Lolita today because there are those who know it was a normal name before it was put in a book.

I don't judge anyone who wears it, I don't care if they do and I have even seen some that I thought was cute. But most of those clothes are showing a lot and guys like it because of sexual reasons.

@xXiTacoXx I have done a lot of research on this!! I loved anime and Japanese culture, I considered dressing this way! I chose not to because of my opinion about it.
Loving anime has nothing to do with liking different fashion styles especially when the fashion's have nothing to do with anime so that's a poor argument right there. And if you did do proper research you wouldn't have the mindset you do now.
@xXiTacoXx I know this style has nothing to do with anime. But anime is what made me more interested in the culture. I did do proper research. Not everyone is going to have the same opinion just because they did the same research. That is like saying everybody should do the proper amount of research in politics and we will all vote for the same person.
But the mindset you do have is that of someone is the west who knows nothing about the fashion until they have it thoroughly explained to them. There's many websites and people explaining what really goes one within the community of certain fashion's since they actively participate in them, but people still refused to listen because they are afraid of being proven wrong by people who know more about it. I've been in both the Lolita and Fairy kei fashion subcultures for damn near 2 years now and you sound exactly like the other westerner's who really don't know what they're talking about despite claiming to have done proper research on a subject. I can tell when someone is B. S. ing me about doing a good amount of research on a fashion/subculture especially when it's one I and a few other people I know participate in it.

I am also a very modest person which is why I like j-fashion because many (like Lolita and fairy kei) involve covering up the skin. So to say Lolita is lewd is really hilarious especially when we're more covered up than your average woman/man who wear normal western fashion.

It's actually not mostly teens who wear it because Lolita clothing is very expensive and you can easily have an outfit that costs over 1k. Teens can't afford shit like that. And 12 yr. olds don't wear Lolita. You're yet again proving yourself to be wrong and ignorant about a fashion/subculture.
