Well for a while in 2015 to 2016 pig tails/twin tails pretty much controlled the anime fanbase xD.

I find them cute they are though a slight pain to do if you want them to look fancy though xD. (I say that as a Uncle who tries to help his niece's do the more fancy pig tails that also have braiding involved.)

there's always time to straighten out your hair if you make sure to have the prep time. As my niece's hair goes all over the place with the curls she has. Its a horrible poofy mess before I start straightening it.

True, but I like my hair natural better and I don't want to waste the time spent straightening my hair by then putting it in braids. Straightening also fries and damages hair and I like mine soft

There are straighteners that use less heat and more steam based. Then again I mostly borrow the expensive hair straighteners. From Bubbles aunts that they dont use anymore xD.

It really depends. If she looks cute in them then heck yeah. But you need to have that cuteness beforehand. If you try to act cute when you're actually more mature-looking you'll just look goofy.

Exactly. It's like trying to give a tough hairdo to a frail guy, or a super cute hairdo to a woman who's much more sexy than mature. It clashes and just doesn't look right.

Personally I think they're a hairstyle for little girls, generally . That said, I do think they are cute on little kids
I do not have a good initial impression of adults who wear them (though I don't waste much time thinking about it)--I think it's a very immature hairstyle.

It is a bit of a younger hair style, but I look young, so it works. I don't wear them to work because people don't take me seriously, so I get where you're coming from. I just have awful curly hair that eats hair ponies, so I have to put them in pigtails rather than a single ponytail so I can see to get them out

I like my hair in plaited pigtails because it's easier to control them. I have hair up to my lower waist (nearly my ass), and it's sometimes annoying if I don't put them all together

It depends on the woman. Sometimes it's nice to have ponytails (sorry I call them that, bad British habit) but other times it's not. It can depend on the figure, the face shape, hair length, hair colour etc

I wear them differently than when I was a little girl. I used to put them above my ears so they stuck out the side of my head when I was in elementary school. I wear them low under my chin now and add a second band to decrease the poofiness

I've put my hair in pigtails. My girlfriend did not like it. Haha. But I don't really like it much. It's kind of creepy. Unless it's for a Harley Quinn cosplay. I mean, my like five year old niece has pigtails. Why would I want my girlfriend to replicate that?

Well I don't really care. I'm just saying that I personally am not attracted to that. I'm sure it could be pulled off. I could see some twenty year old party girl with green hair doing it. With like a pacifier necklace and neon socks. But other than that I don't see how it could be a casual hairstyle. Haha.

I tend to view them as childish, but I've seen people utilise them neatly. And when worn correctly, they do resemble sprouting infernos of glory*.

*Then again, this has only applied to the full-grown Slavic men I've seen wearing them. Otherwise, they just look childish; cute in the way a pug is, but not sexy.

Ponytails however, are freaking hot. So are any kind of bows or other things in the hair.

Unfortunately I can't wear ponytails because they're impossible to get out of my curls. I wear pigtails because I can see them in the mirror to take them out. What about wearing bows with pigtails? Does one negate the other for you?

My hair is all natural. Dying, bleaching, and flat ironing your hair dries it out, dulls the shine, burns it, and causes it to become brittle and break. The people who tell me all the time how soft my hair is are generally people who mistreat their hair, so they forget what natural hair is supposed to feel and look like. I much prefer having healthy hair
