What does everyone think of belly button rings?

Wanted to get one for my 18th but didn't wanna look like a hoe :/

You can get a belly button ring and not be a hoe. Step one, don't wear shirts that show off the belly button ring to everyone. Step two, only show it to people you want to in private. It's the act of showing it off to the world that makes it bad for me. I love belly button rings, but it's like Boobs, if they are always out for the world to see, what is left for the imagination? If I don't have to work for something, it doesn't mean anything.

If you like it get it. If you aren't a hoe you aren't. If someone thinks of you as a hoe then, that person isn't worth your time. So, If you like it, it suits you well, have it.

One of the most basic piercings? I doubt anyone will notice or care enough to even think about a piece of metal in your belly making you a hoe
Do rings make you a hoe? Do necklaces? No.
Piercings are commonplace nowadays
Like hate to say it but unless you really go for it and get your entire stomach covered in metal, no one will care

i dont think that any single aspect of fashion gives off a "hoe" vibe. instead i believe its more of the collective whole of a fashion mixed with the persons attitude. so i guess what im trying to say is, yes you should be able to get one without looking like a hoe

It doesn't match my personal aesthetic and would clash with the type of clothes I wear, but if you want it get it. It's just a piercing. I don't see why stereotypes have to be attached to it.

As I expected, we're split all generally split about this. Personally, I don't like piercings; any piercings. That also includes earlobe piercings. I wouldn't get any, and would not encourage my significant other to get them, but I would support her choice either way. It's not worth any of the associated risks.

That would depend on the ring in question. As with all fashion, what works with one person might not work for another. I myself like the look of belly button rings, as long as they aren't to ridiculous. The one in the picture looks good, but I can't imagine liking one bigger than that.

Its not for me. Got nothing against it but if you were to take everything else out of an equation. Then told me to choose someone to date. Just based with a belly piercing or without. I would go without.

Obviously its a bit more then that so it really comes down to the person for me. If you find the right person it won't matter

It's like the epitome of sexiness without crossing the vulgar line. If you are planning for one, get it done.. make sure you get the right ornament that suits you !

It's very attractive, many cool nice girls wear such things. Anyway you should wear what ever you like and think is beautiful. Its true that some guys would interrupt it as more sexual but im not sure if it so bad and anyway mature guys would know it's only decoration.

I don't much like them personally. Also my ex had one and she would always complain that it hurt if it got pressed against during sex. So, she always took it out for sex. That's something to consider.
