How bad do tattoos hurt?

My sister wants to get matching tattoos with me and I need to know how bad this will hurt because I do not like pain 😂 I'm a big ass cry baby too.

It depends on your body fat as well as where on the body you wish to have a tattoo. Anywhere that's over a boney area (fingers, ankle, inner part of your wrist, clavicle, rib cage...) is bound to hurt more that in a fleshy area (arm, thigh...).

If your tattoo artist doesn't have a "light tough" and goes far too deeply where it feels he/she is stabbing you, then you may have come across a bad tattoo artist. So make sure you read up on the place, read reviews on the artist. My boyfriend looked up artists through Instagram to see their work as well as what people said about them specifically.

It all depends on your pain tolerance and location of tattoo. The tattoo on my back at the beginning of my neck/between shoulder blades didn't hurt too bad at all, almost fell asleep several times, the one on my rib was so horribly painful I had to bite my finger to try distracting my brain from the excruciating pain of my ribs, cried a lot too.

If it's a very small and simple tattoo the pain could be tolerable since it will be over in probably 5 minutes or even less.

Depends on where on your body you get them, mine didn't hurt, I did tho feel the needle, but it's fine.
Also before you get one, do you really want it? It's for life time

That depends on where you want them. I would suggest you to get one on a rather "pillowed" area (as in not on the ankles or shoulders because there is less material between the skin and the pain sensing nerves) . For example on the upper arm is a good place because 1. it would not hurt as much as for excample on the lower arm and 2 it can be covered up with clothes rather easiely if your job does not allow for tattoos.

It depends, if the place is less meaty like rib cage, neck, shoulder it'll be lightly painful, also sensitive areas like wrist forearm, legs, but it's not enough to make you scream and tear up.. it depends on your pain tolerance, or how quick you can look away and pay no mind.

It depends on where on your body you get it done. Places with a lot of flesh or fat ( top of arms ) generally tend to hurt a lot less then places near the bone ( shins, ankles, spine). When I got mine done it felt like I was being scratched by thorns, talk to the tattoo artist about it, they are the best source of this info.

It's like your skin being nipped or pinched over and over. It stings a little but it's not the kind of pain that will make you jump out of the chair. It's just a minor irritation.

They don't hurt much at all. I have military tattoos and the only one that hurt is the one on my ribs, but I was also about 9% bodyfat at the time lmao. That shit hurt a lot.

Depends on the area.
My wrist was fine. Foot hurt like a bitch.
If you go for arms or legs i'd say not to bad its just like a stinging sensation.

Depends on the location of the tattoo, but it's not too bad generally. 4/10 on the pain scale at worst.

Depends on a few things.
Where you get it, how deep it goes, meaning if there is shading or very deep punctures. Don't get something like that if you don't want it. Your sister has zero count of control over what you want. Getting inked is for life.

Got one on my chest and one on my bck, I’m a muscular low fat person, they fuckin hurt. There is obviously much worse shit but as far as stuff you’re gonna voluntarily do in your life it will probably make your top 5
