There are so many interesting facts about Marilyn Monroe, some are more well known than others. See below the list of facts:
1. Marilyn had very early stage plastic surgery. Plastic surgery being very unheard of at the time, She was advised to have the Cartilage at the tip of her nose reshaped, a chin implant and and vaneer teeth put in.
2. Although she was typecast as a dumb blonde (a persona she hated), she was actually extremely intelligent. She had an apparent IQ of 168.
3. Although she famously sang “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend,” in reality Monroe wasn’t into expensive jewelry. All the jewelry she owned was costume, expect for a diamond ring and a strand of pearls given to her by her second husband, Joe DiMaggio.
4. Monroe converted to Judaism after marrying playwright Arthur Miller.
5. During her marriage to Miller, Monroe tried to have a child (she desperately wanted to become a mother); unfortunately she suffered both an ectopic pregnancy and a miscarriage.
6. Miller wrote Monroe’s role in The Misfits as a Valentine’s Day gift to her. Although she hated the role, many critics consider it the best performance of her career.
7. After her breakup with Miller, Frank Sinatra gave Monroe a Maltese terrier to help her feel better. She named it Maf (short for Mafia Honey).
8. The racy flesh-colored dress Monroe wore while singing the infamous “Happy Birthday Mr. President,” was covered with 2,500 rhinestones and was so tight that she had to be sewn into it. It's also the most expensive item of clothing ever to be sold at auction, selling at $1.26 Million in 1999.
9. Monroe made Joe DiMaggio promise to leave flowers on her grave every week if she died before him. He kept his promise and had half-dozen red roses delivered three times a week to her crypt for 20 years.
10. Playboy Founder, Hugh Hefner bought the crypt above marilyn monroe in 1992 for $75,000, Also one of Marilyn's first public claim to fames was being a nude model in Playboy Magazine.
11. Marilyn was extremely vigilant with her facial washing as she was always worried about pimples, She washed her face up to 15 times a day.
She is honestly a 4 at best. She doesn't have a pretty face by any stretch, her hairstyle is horrendous, and her figure is just average. She isn't too fat or too skinny, but there is nothing particularly appealing about her shape.
She isn't hideous, but I meet at least one new person every day that I find more attractive than her (and I'm a high school student that lives in a rural area, and I barely ever leave my house).
I like her hair and lips, but her overall facial structure doesn't appeal to me, aesthetically. Overall, I'd consider her an above-average woman, but no more than 7/10, and that's with the make-up and cosmetic procedures. The third picture makes her look kind of chubby--and her weight did fluctuate throughout her life, especially around her pregnancy, but for the most part she had a slim figure which looked more like this:
I rate Marilyn Mon-HOE a zero. I never understood the country's infatuation with her, she's you're typical white trash. A presidential slut at best. Do people read history? Are we this shallow in the US of A? She's not even that pretty honestly. Just a blond slut whore.
8 or 9. She was never "chunky" and any pictures like that is of her pregnant. She has curves but that doesn't mean she isn't skinny, its called having big hips which isn't necessarily related to weight.
It seems really strange to me that people describe her as "chunky" ... she had a really tiny waist and most pictures where she appears to have a belly were taken during her pregnancy.
Honestly, I never found her overly attractive. Bi don’t understand the big deal about her. She’s like a 6, 7 at best. I always thought she looked high or on drugs in almost all of her photos.
