Do whatever you want. It's hair, not some 3000 year old demigod idol statue getting graffiti'd.
Anybody who gets offended by some hair style someone else goes for and complains about racial appropriation or some crap need to get a fkn life.

I thought those were called corn fields. Though, anyways, not that much of a fan period.
The problem with styles like those, is that it was meant for a special kind of hair, your more than welcome to, but it can cause a lot of damage. Such as hair loss, bald spots, residing hair line, etc.
I don’t care if they wear it. But it is annoying that black women with braids are ghetto but white women with braids are trendy. Take that stupid stereotype away and I won’t care.

I think it's fine overall.
But it should be done correctly and match their face. Sometimes bigger braids look better than smaller and vice versa. It depends on the person's features. I think they should know before they get it done though so it doesn't look bad. I think these girls pulled it off fineReally I don’t have any thoughts about it, but I will say take these into consideration if you do decide to get them done:
1.) box braids are heavy (they get heavier when washing), and depending on your hair texture the weight can cause breakage and/or hair loss
2.) I personally wash mine once a week to maintain the style look and to prevent flyaways
3.) when I get box braids done, it takes hours to do so depending on the size. Also since they’re braided tight on the scalp first, it will be painful for a couple days or so.. especially if you’re tender headed. They aren’t really meant for your hair texture. I mean... box braids were made for a very specific reason and that was to help maintain and grow woolly/rough hair textures... and typically those hair types are found on black girls. But I mean do you honey. Just don’t be surprised if some of your hair gets damaged.
I'm be honest with you. It doesn't matter what I think, or what anyone else thinks. It's about what you think. You and I both know the kind of answers you may get. If you like it go for it. Don't let anyone turn you away from it if you like them that much. 🤗
I don't care honestly I say go for it:)
But some things to consider are they might be super itchy when you get them. When I first get my box braids they itch like hell for the first few days. Also they're kinda tight when you first get them and you might get a headache and they might hurt a little to sleep on them the first night. Hmmm also it might take awhile to get them braided for me it take 4 hours with two women braiding and 6-8 hours with one person braiding.I don't think every white girl can pull them off but that dies not mean you shouldn't try and please try and ignore the hate and any backlash no one specific culture is intitled to a hairstyle rock it like you own it
I think anybody and I mean anybody should be able to dress the way they want or do their hair the way they want it's their body their hair. What's not okay is to hate on anybody and I mean anybody especially us women I'm a White girl and I think black women are beautiful with or with out braids and yes some white girls good with them and some Latina girls do too hell I think all of women are beautiful no matter how we wear our hair But you also at the same time you have understand another person's culture and you shouldn't condemn someone for their culture and wear the same hair that's wrong and it's hurtful if your gonna wear. The same hair give that person's culture some respect or at least be open minded we are all human and we are all apart of this life and we need be standing together not pushing each other way
With the right hairstyle and done correctly so they don't hurt, I think they look great. I have worn them on occasion. I liked it but I had mixed reactions from people.
Most Of Em Dont Suit It One Bit But Then there's That 5% That Can Pull It Off
looks dumb.
BUT. i have seen some south east Asians look REALLY good in them that it mind fucks me.Nothing. It's their choice. May not look as good though due to looser hair texture
I used to have yarn braids and SO many people asked to take pictures with me and they seemed to love the look (so did I) BUT I took them out after a month and my hair was sooo dry it took at least a week of deep conditioning to revive it
No, they can wear it- but it’s just one of those things that white people can't steal. They’ll never be able to rock an Afro, braids, dreads or cornrows like a black girl can
On THAT girl, they look great. Give it a shot. what have you got to lose?
Don't get them done, it's cultural appropiation, they don't look good on white girls, not only THAT, but your hair will fall out because they are not suited for your hairstyle. Your hairline will recede, you will be made fun of by black people all around, It's not yours, do not take our culture.
I think people can do whatever they want to do with their hair.
Man, hair that looks like wheat really gets me going... No. It looks tacky and lacks any sense of elegance.
People should have the right to do whatever they want with their hair. I always thought braids were stupid on everyone but that's just me.
I just wonder how u take care of them at night. Do they get all crinkly? Tangled? I like the look, but what about maintenance?
