Should I grow a goatee or are they just way out of style now?

Think it would depend on the guy. I think you would suit it, try it out, if you don’t like it or someone says something negative you can always shave it off. That’s the great thing about hair, it’ll grow back or you can shave it off

These days it seems to be all about following or fitting a certain ideal of what's attractive.

I don’t tend to follow the crowd, I like to do my own thing, wear my own thing etc :) in a world where everyone basically looks the same, acts the same and dresses the same, it’s boring. Well I think so anyway

My dad has a goatee (He’s 36) I like the way it looks. I guess it depends on how you shave it. My dad has one similar to the first photo.. The second one looks pretty good. And only certain people can make the third photo look good.

Also what style of facial hair is REALLY most strongly dependent on how your beard grows. If it's wispy or patchy, don't grow a full beard, unless you want to look gross.

I think trimmed beards are in now and they look good, but it's so prickly.
Usually a woman will tell me to shave as soon as my face touches hers.

Haven't noticed any trimmed beard trend myself. I prefer normal, groomed full beards.

I've definitely had one before in the early 2000's and I do like how it looks.

No problem. I think if something looks good then it looks good. Maybe they’ll say, “why does he have a goatee... it does look really good tho” but I personally don’t think about beards
