Would you wear the same outfit everyday like many successful individuals do?

I'm not so sure that there is a correlation between wearing the same outfit every day and being extremely successful. People who are in the public eye regularly are more likely to be noticed for this habit. But there are probably just as many people who dress this way that have a much more modest level of success. Unless a uniform is required to be worn, I think that wearing the same thing every day sends a message that the person lacks creativity. That message may or may not be true depending on the individual.
Absolutely! The only problem is finding the same pair of pants and shirts I like most. My favorite is this pink shirt:

I love this shirt sooo much! It will be tragedy if it starts getting torn up. But I got it at a thrift store for $2 and I there's another shirt like it. But if they had, I'd buy all of them. I don't like to think about what I wear every day. It would save a lot of energy if I could just wear my favorite clothes over and over.
But I got it at a thrift store for $2 and I [couldn't find if] there's another shirt like it [...]
I also had jeans with peace logo in my 20s. I loved those jeans. But I got at a store called Don Quixote and I returned the next weekend and they didn't have any more like that. But it had a peace longer on the thigh which I thought was awesome, like this (forgive the round circle, I was kind of drunk and flashing inappropriate parts for the photo):
If I could buy an unlimited supply of those pants and pink shirt though, that's all I'd wear. I don't care if people think I don't wash my clothes. That's their problem.
But it had a peace [logo] on the thigh which I thought was awesome [...]
You got me at flashing inappropriate parts HAHAHA!!
I went a bit overboard on the alcohol in my 20s. :-D I'm better now!
I wasn't pervy type flashing the goods to a private audience though. You can see a bar counter behind us and also my friend doing it. I was just a really shy person and wanted to overcome my fears. So I did in front of many people, not pervy and private but more about challenging ourselves and overcoming our fears in front of a large audience. I was never the type to send like dick pics or anything. If I show my goods, I only do it to someone I love or in front of a very large audience.
No, not judging haha!! I thought that was funny and you know therapeutic that is lol!!
I'm kind of an idiot. :-D But anyway, yeah, totally, I'd wear the same clothes every day if I could purchase a closet full of my favorites!
No. That's such a faux pas. ;D
Honestly, I feel they wore it because they felt comfortable, it was their style, and/or it represented decorum where it is expected (for instance, Presidency).
I wear outfits that I find cute and like to switch it up.
No, they are probably just too busy to care about looking fashionabke so they stick with the same basic outfit. I doubt they wear it when they have time to think about it or on a special occasion.
Wearing the same outfit doesn't make someone sucessful.

It looks like he did it to project himself as a friendly character by dressing in simple attire. And trying to wear the clothes of the same colour all the time, might suggest that he did it so that people identify him immediately and associate him with something simple in their mind, which subconsciously brings him closer to them, and they think that he is a good guy, because they find him "familiar in an odd sort of way".
So one might say that it's a form of propoganda... A way to not only make people remember their companies only each time they think about it but also this simple dressed humble looking person, which would encourage them more to indulge themselves with him, in this case it would be to use their products and such.
Not always... but close in variation, yes.
Like I often wear black pants and a black button up shirt. But I have about two or three shirts that are similar. I switch between T-shirt’s and slightly nicer outfits that aren’t button up (polo shirt type outfits.)
No. I like expressing myself through clothes. If I wore the same outfit every day, over and over, I'd feel extremely bored and limited. This doesn't mean I'm constantly buying new clothes - I still have pieces in my closet from yeeeeaars ago that I still wear. I just don't like the idea of not getting to try out new pieces or combinations. I also don't think what clothes you wear correlates with how successful you are.
I have in the past for work. I could see myself doing it in regular life if I found a style I really like. I know some famous people like Daniel Radcliffe for example will wear the same outfit two days in a roll so the second day paparazzi doesn't mess with him because it will look like it's from the day before.
Nope! In fact, I don’t even like wearing the same suit around the same group of friends twice 🤣👔 My wardrobe is overloaded with different outfits such as dapper 2-piece & 3-piece suits, so I’ll wear each one for each occasion, but once I’ve worn them all, only then I’ll go back around again (which likely would take some months, enough time for that first suit to look original again the 2nd time) 😌🎩
Notice all the people you listed are men. Women get judged harshly if they wear the same outfit even 2 days in a row
Might I add "by other women"...
I would not it'll be too bland and boring. I also definitely would not date a girl who would only wear a same outfit everyday. Many successful individuals don't wear same outfit by the way just fraction of them do :)
Yes not all of them do of course. The late Steve Jobs popularized this idea as to reduce decision fatigue. I just wonder if people would do the same thing too.
I actually agree with you!
I honestly have thought about it so I have more time to do other things. I like expressing myself and what you wear tells a lot about a person. I mix up my outfits a lot, one day preppy, another day goth, maybe hipster on other days.
Interesting that so many of the females that commented on this put their opinion as anonymous 🤷🏻♀️
For a non-controversial, non-sexual topic like this, I also wonder why anyone want to post anonymously.
I voted C. I don’t necessarily wear the same thing everyday... but I have transitioned to a point in my life when I care less and less about what I wear to work.
I spend less and less money, time & effort on work clothes.
right now i dont have many clothes and most of them are the same (all the same pants and 8 shirts of 2 pairs each) but if i had the money i would get good looking clothes and wear different stuff everyday.
No, none of those people are successful because of their clothes. And I doubt it would go over so well for a woman to do that.
Black t-shirt, blue jeans, done. That's what I'd do if I ran my own company or could freelance where people didn't care what I wore.
My success has zero to do with my attire and I don’t want to be like a bunch of other successful people so my answer is... uh... negative 😂
I do this often but have many different colors. I do a lot of monochrome workout sets, tights and matching sports bra.
Mainly because im at the gym but also stylish and cute for after gym errands❤️
I wear the same outfit for days on end now because of my financial and living situation but if I was better off I probably would wear different clothes more often.
I wear the same thing every day, except for the shirt. I rotate through about a dozen different shirts. But I wear the same shoes & pants every day.
I already wear pretty much the same outfit everyday.
I just get the outfit I like the most, and wear that.
Probably not, no.
I understand the thinking behind it, but it would be rather dull, I think...
Steve Jobs actually wore the same black top at the yearly Apple presentation... as in the same physical shirt.
Zuckerberg is a retard with his ill-fitting gray Wal-Mart tee.
Remember, these successful people (most of them, not all) are usually geeks or nerds, therefore they have no fashion instinct whatsoever. As long as they are covered and not naked, they are happy and comfortable.
No lol I love self expression and fashion is one of the ways I do that.
The reason why a lot of those successfull people do that is because they got mild OCD not all of them of course but a lot do, it's funny how these successfull people usually have some sort of mental disorder
Nope, grabbing a different outfit out of the closet each day isn't consuming that much of my time.
I can wear the same outfit for 2 and max 3 days but not more than that.
I wear plain t shirts and jeans. Different colour t-shirts but everyday it's the same damn thing.
I essentially do wear the same outfit every day.
Collared shirt, Khakis, and my nikey sneakers haha. I just alternate the colors and shoes.
I wear the same shorts and t-shirt for about 2-3 days than i get shower
and put on a fresh clothing.
I kind of do but not as awful as that guy and I do have 3 variations i. e shades of gray and black. It sure helps not having to spend too much time picking an attire every day.
At work I essentially do. My suits are identical save for slight color variation and all of my suits, shirts, and ties are interchangeable. I basically wear Garanimals for Adults.
Wearing the same outfit everyday may be okay for men, not with girls.
Day clothes, no. however, I wouldn't mind same pyjamas
NEVER. My styles changes so often that i could never imagine myself wearing the same outfit everyday!
I love fashion and putting together outfits, but I probably would have some staple pieces to rely on, just like I do now.
well for my work i do wear the same like many others but otherwise no i won't
Dont be fooled by these famous fools. Its all part of their marketing.
I would not wear anything that bitch Zuckerberg wears
I don't think, this seems weird. Yet i can understand why someone would do that, one of my best friend is like that. I think it's to creat a "character" out of yourself easy to identify. anyone can do that without such extremes in my opinion
Meh, I like to launder my things occasionally.
But as far as appearance, I would have no problem with that. I wear jeans every day.
I have been wearing the same cut of jeans since i was a kid and the same style forever fashion is fleeting style is forever
To be honest I've never thought about it. My clothing purchases are actually pretty random. I might think "Yeah that's a nice jacket" without considering if the rest of my wardrobe goes with it.
I do for work. Outside of work I try not too. I made it a goal of my to wear all the new clothes I bought this summer cause I basically where the same thing
I don't do it to be succesfull i do it because i cannot be bothered thinking about my outfit
Noo, it would probably get boring for me after some time
Yes its not meaby the same outfit
But variations of the same outfit yes
And Steve Irwin
I used to but not anymore
I only wear the same pants
I was in the military. I wore the same outfit for 23 years.
Carhartt safety shirt, Riggs work pants, red wing boots. Pants and shirt color varies, but it's always the same.
People would assume you dont change clothes if you do that
A tight black shirt and jeans. Every day. I mix it up with grey and dark blue sometimes.
I usually only wear 4-5 outfits and alternate between them everyday.
I would if I have enough copies of the same clothes.
I use a clothes schedule.
I'm ashamed to admit I always wear jeans and a Superdry t shirt and diesel trainers
If that is the only price to be rich and successful, yes.
ye because it means i have less work with laundries
too creative to be a cartoon. and successful people only do that to create a brand.
No. That's too boring.
I wouldn’t. I’d get tired of it after a while.
No.
I would get too bored.
Nope I like bright colors and sparkly shit
