I certainly think so, but in my opinion, it helps to go for a balanced physique, not like a top-heavy bodybuilder with chicken legs who can barely do a pull-up (although some small minority of women might really dig that). I think a physique that is attractive to the widest variety of people is well-balanced, and not just absolutely strong, but relatively strong compared to resisting his own body weight, like a "tarzan" who can lift, climb, swim, leap, run fast, without glaring weaknesses, and isn't necessarily so shredded with veins popping out that his immune system is compromised. If you go to the extremities, you're shifting away from what the majority like to what a minority like (which isn't always a bad thing in my opinion if you can deal with it).
Yes.
If you are a muscular man you will be more attractive i general. When you start lifting weights and building up your muscle you will notice that people treat you differently. Other men will be more respectful towards you , women notice you. It is not all bad.
Now understand I mean muscular like the actor in the pic that posted on the right. That is , in my opinion , the perfect level of musculature - not too much and not tool little. Of course if you are scrawny it does not look good at the same time I would not want to be the Mr. Olympia type either (to me it is way too over the top).
Yes, muscles could make anyone potentially more attractive, but they don't look great on everyone. To further explain myself, it's the grade of the muscle, you shouldn't go overboard. Some guys look great toned instead of bulky, others look better after they've bulked up. It's about what looks best on an individual rather than a general group of people. Also, I don't think women look more attractive muscled up. I feel like it takes away the smooth softness of a feminine body. Women look amazing after having toned their body, but, in my opinion, body building bulky women aren't attractive.
They do help!
But if you have a crappy personality, no amount of muscles will make you more attractive.
Trust me, I've met some really good looking guys but I still wasn't attracted to them because they were either airheads (no brains or common sense) or had a terrible personality! I don't care how good a guy looks- if he can't hold a conversation or has a good personality, it turns me off
I guess muscles on men is a little like makeup on women in this context. If moderate, they can look really good on the person and increase the attractiveness. But if excessive, they could easily defeat the purpose.
@WolfsRoze Thank you!

Of course anyone looks better fit... now if people. like your face too it is difderent. I guess it can make up for an average face.
if you have a good face, then you don't have to work out right?
@NatalieKeller95 I think chicks get away with it more than guys
I never said that
On behalf of my girlfriend I voted "No." However, it is a qualified "no."
The photo above shows extremes and my girlfriend does not go for either. It is a choice between "weak and sickly" and "muscle bound."
My girlfriend tends to like - and yes, this is good news for me - an average build. She likes a nice chest with broad shoulders, but not bulging pecs. She actually hates "abs." Preferring a flat stomach to paunchiness, a beer belly or, on the other side, washboard.
She also likes, though not her favorite, a "dad bod." Her main gripe with it being excessive "love handles." However, if given a choice - believe it or not we actually got into a conversation about this one time - between "Dad bod" and muscular, she actually prefers the former.
Depends on the subjective perception of the individual. For me, it's a yes. I have yet to be attracted to a skinny man that lacks definition. That doesn't mean anything though since there are billions of women in the world and plenty of them adore skinny men.
Absolutely. I like a guy with nice muscles. I think girls who have muscles (girl sized muscles) also look better than girls who don't. For both men and women, I think the "body builder" look is sort of gross, like that's not natural.
When you train and build muscle, strength, stamina and health. Not only do you look better, but you feel better and this comes across in your energy, posture, how you carry yourself, and your discipline. The attractiveness is not just physical, it's mental and has an impact on your personality.
Yes, for both sexes. Though not so muscular can be attractive in both also.
If anything, it's how you carry yourself and your confidence that's more a factor than the muscles. It's just easier to be confident when you're relatively fit. (Not guaranteed, I know plenty of fit people with no confidence)
Maybe Im weird yet I prefer guys who are not that muscular. I actually like guys with a bit of fat. In my mind I think they can be better huggers.
I’m 5’5 and definitely prefer my buff look over my skinny look. Girls never complain and I’ve never had a problem with sex so I guess that speaks for itself. Muscle helps with sex appeal. In the long run I think you get more attention with then without, unless you’re extremely outgoing. As long as you don’t over do it it’s worth it
It's not that simple. If you're a guy, the kind of body swimmers and CrossFitters develop is attractive to women. Functional strength is attractive. But turning yourself into the Hulk on steroids is not that attractive to most women.
Muscles are attractive because of what they allow you to do. If you have so many muscles that you struggle to move, that's not really of much use to a woman.
Yes, they do as long as you are a man.
Women look better with visible muscles, but they also good look as long as they are just fit with not prominent muscles. Men on the other hand get at least plus 2 points in the ten scale if they get some muscles.
A man can have too much of course. I am talking about a muscular physic not a competitor bodybuilder like body.
I think a guy who is chubby and muscular is the best
No, not anyone. If you're ugly and short who gives a shit about muscles?
also if you are good looking and short, nothing changes.
yeah it's good of worse :D
Personally id rather date someone who is nice and loves me for me you could be the handsomest guy on earth but if you dont treat me like a human being then i have no interest in dating or knowing you
I've seen some really attractive guys who didn't have any but I guess they give that manly figure and fit in with the society stereotype of what it is to be male
If we only look at appearance and nothing else.. Yes, yes it does!!
Yes, to a limit, as in super crazy muscles at least for me is a killer (in a bad way)
Hard to say without seeing the person, depends on your tastes, I like the toned fit look, some might like the more muscular look but to your question I would say it would probably to more good than harm.
I personally like muscles on men more so yeah I think men with muscles are more attractive to my eyes, however men without muscles are okay too! All men are handsome in their own way
Wow and you're a lady which every gentlemen wants to marry 😂😂😂
Yes they do look good but I don’t think buff is cute like bigger than the guy above I mean like meaty body builders that’s super scary to me and has always been xD
If they have an ugly face it won't fix their ugly.
It can distract from the ugly I guess so maybe it helps but too much muscle is also not attractive in my opinion
Opposite is also truth. If you have very good looking face but short, thin body you will look ugly to women anyways.
@Mamamialetmego no cause I actually find mean of all heights attractive unless it's to an extreme but I like my short and thin mean.
No you are lying and try to get attention. 😀
@Mamamialetmego
Hell no I'm a 5ft girl tall guys are intimidating and I find guys my height a better fit that one that is tall asf cause I just makes it seem like he is dating his little sister.
😂😂😂
