If your male would you wear a dress in public
Do you think it should be socially acceptable for boys and men to wear dresses?
If your male would you wear a dress in public
You need an option for "I'm a guy and in favour of men being socially allowed to wear dresses in public even if I'm not interested in doing it myself"
Personally I have worn dresses and skirts because I've cross-dressed. Currently I don't want to do that, but I don't see the dress/skirt garment shape as essentially feminine or female-specific, and there are many cultures around the world with male garments that are like dresses. I agree with the transvestite comedian Eddie Izzard that it's about men claiming their clothing rights. The spread globally and to women of trousers is a long-term triumph of European barbarian culture, Celtic and Germanic, which even the Romans found foreign.
I prefer trousers for a few reasons, including the practicality of pockets. Flies are also a convenience for upright peeing, although similar flaps can be included in skirts.
We do have a strange situation in which supposedly men are privileged over women, but women have successfully expanded their range of acceptable clothes while men remain restricted - and they police each other in the restriction more than women do.
I think it should be social acceptable to dress how you wants to and that in a democracy your clothing is part of your freedom. If people wants to crossdress, it's up to them. It may even make less people transsexuals because of they can stay their original sex and still enjoy both the feminine and the masculine side.
I don't think men looks good in dresses because of their body shape which is different than women's. It wouldn't be a problem, because of I would only date women and they suits both dresses, skirts and pants. Women can also date women, if they don't like when 90% of the men dress in dresses.
Wow, we wouldn't which one was our father or mother. I can see it being bad at the start of a marriage. Both would be wearing wedding dresses. The gays would love it I'm sure.
Uhh, dad? Mom?
@nimmouser Because it is traditionally the female bride's day. Get your own day!
@Gods_Gift Oh my god, so you want them to switch gender roles now? Women have worn dresses and men trousers for 1,000 years. Women didn't start wearing trousers until the 40's when they had to wear overalls in the war industry and became used to them. Men wearing dresses is just recent. They just look ridiculous in dresses. If you want to switch gender roles than let's switch sex rolls too. The men will be pegged and give women oral and can cook and clean and take care of the kids while the women go out to the bar with her buddies and party and have their misterisses on the side.
You seem a little too triggered by what are after all personal choices of others which don't affect you and are none of your business. You talk as though a small number of people being socially allowed to do something that hurts no-one else, may be beneficial in some ways and which is equivalent to an existing freedom for the opposite sex would necessarily lead to everyone conforming and changing as if they are forced.
You are also quite wrong about the history of clothes, as dresslike clothes have been common for men down the ages in many different cultures, including the modern West for clergy, but also Scottish and Greek kilts, the kimono, Arab robes etc. Trousers were originally a minority tendency for any sex and it's just due to the cultural success of northern barbarians, and then the West, that they have spread.
You acknowledge that women can now wear trousers, so you have double standards. Not acceptable, either accept both or reject both. But the most ludicrous assumption you make is that men wearing dresses would mean a change of gender roles. You really need to ask yourself why you feel so threatened. Do you believe women 'own' the right to wear dresses and skirts? Show us the title deeds, or get off your high horse.
@Gods_Gift Well you can wear what you want. Men wearing dresses is gay in my opinion. Men who wear dresses are really crossdressers and just want to do it in public. You may as well go all the way and wear bras, panties, and stick a tampon up your ass too.
I honestly don't care what people wear. Fashion has changed for men anyway over the years.
Look at the founding 'fathers". Long hair, wigs, ruffled shirts.

Wearing something structurally a dress and wearing “women’s clothing” are fundamentally different things in how they’re seen.
If a particular garment is considered masculine or unisex... that doesn’t mean dressing as the opposite gender is accepted.
I’m not commenting on what should be just noting those are very different questions.
They're gonna regret it (unless they are into sodomy; as the recipient, not the administrator.)
Do what you want but keep in mind the weak dying European races (who are the only people that are eagerly working towards their own extinction) will be replaced by Muslims and Africans and they will Roger your sundress wearing bum like there's no tomorrow. Probably in a group session.
You guys are going to have a high old time when the "Evil White Patriarchy" is replaced by Bantus and Arabs.
Enjoy our replacement as your overlords. At least the evil, disgusting White men won't be telling you what to do. Right?
Think I'm lying? Go wander around the democratic republic of the Congo in your cute little outfit. I suggest a huge supply of anti-viral drugs be in your travel bag.
I had to answer honestly I'm afraid, not a personal judgement against you asker, I just think I'd find it a bit odd and a bit confronting.
But that being said, even these days women rarely wear dresses. So that's something in itself, I think.
Its stupid why would it be socially acceptable.. but does anything even matter anymore, we got meth heads butt-naked in front of the grocery stores in broad daylight these days...
I find womans clothing sexy and more attractive than men's. I've crossed dressed a few times. And enjoyed the feel of what I was wearing
It would be strange, but I dont really care either way. Its kinda silly to think that what a person wears determines their masculinity or sexuality. If they were socially acceptable, I wouldn't mind wearing one. they seem comfortable.
No, dress doesn't suit men. Dresses compliment female bodies, they accentuate their curves and body. Men's bodies are not same hence why suits suit us more. Dresses would look horrible on men.
No, it just encourages men to be more feminine and we surely dont need anymore of that in 2019
@Gods_Gift I think a lot of people aren't understanding and accepting of differences..
I cross dressed as a joke once and some dude threatened to kill me. So no. Only David Howie can do that
Thats last fucking thing we need.
Men wear pants. Thats it. Either wear pants or gtfo
I miss the days where you beat up weirdos in the street until they fix their behavior.
I wouldn't wear dresses in public, but if it's up to me, do whatever the heck you want.
No it isn't. I'm glad that era ended around 1890 or so for little boys.
Fun fact: the skirt and the heel were originally meant, for, men
Created by, and meant for, men
Women took them over
Yes absolutely. I've worn skirts in public. I wish i could wear them more.
You're weird
And disgusting
