The Scottish wear kilts which are like a skirt, so I see no harm in cultural attire and being your own person expressing yourself the way you see fit.
Let me be clear, men before 1970s always had their hair cut short while women would have it long. I’m sure from a lot of turning heads from the changing times were clutching their pearls (especially the Conservatives) though we survived. Men exhibiting ‘feminine’ traits isn’t the end of the world.

Men and women who were supposed to be my role models would tell the boys including me, “boys don’t cry” which really hurt and pushed a narrative that showcasing any form of vulnerability or expressing yourself outside what others tell you to, you will be an outcast. That insecurity leads men to be closeted with their true feelings, closeted when it comes to their emotions, and sends them to be sheeple to follow the way “society” deems fit.
You matter, regardless of class, creed, status, disability, gender, religion, or political subscription, you matter. Know you have a right to your feelings, a right to your emotions, and a right to your self expression. Be the kind of person you want to see in the world, one of love not hate.
I truly see the “skirt thing” as, “long hair”. The traditional world may have issues in the beginning, though once it is around and runs its course nobody will care. Same with the Heavy Metal satan panic also Elvis Presley gyrating hips satan panic.
I personally wouldn’t wear a skirt also skirts look too girly for me, though that is my personal expression. I choose what looks good and feels good to me, as would you.
Men in women's clothing look ridiculous. I happen to like traditional gender roles for men and women. And I don't give a crap about the 80+ made up fantasy genders and pronouns mentally disturbed people have invented for themselves of late. Do whatever you want. the only way this is acceptable is this was at some cicrus or comedy show. @SamWinchester058 She didn't say it made her uncomfortable, she said it was unacceptable because religion. Not everyone believes as she does, and her religion shouldn't control other's behavior. Here in Seattle it's completely acceptable --- people can wear whatever they please, or nothing at all (no one does, except for a traditional nude bicycle ride on New Year's Eve).
Exactly, these people are not believers. I am a believer and following what God expects from a believer is someone who does not deny him or his word. I cannot make these people believe but it is prophesized at end times, the believers amongst the old will have dreams and the believers among the young will have visions. The mark of God will be given to these people, they are warned against the mark of the beast in the meantime before the times hit and the ones who believe until the end shall endure. The rest will wish for death and it won't come. This is prophesized in the Book of Revelations. Non believers will go through trials and tribulations after the return of the one holy and true king, Jesus Christ.

Absolutely—and history would just call it “making a comeback.” Long before modern gendered fashion rules, men wore skirts, tunics, robes, and even high heels. Ancient warriors fought in flowing garments, European aristocrats strutted in lace and heels, and no one questioned their masculinity. Clothing has always been a cultural construct, not a biological one.
Fashion is like a wheel—it turns, comes full circle, and what was once “masculine” or “feminine” often swaps places over time. Skirts on men aren’t revolutionary; they’re just another spin of that wheel. In a few decades, we might laugh at how we once thought pants were “the standard” for men.
So yes—it should be socially acceptable. Not because it’s “new,” but because it’s timeless.
I’m just not sure how I feel about this , it’s ‘ down to the guy ‘ is the best answer I could give. Yeah yeah , clothing is a form of expression and fashion is gender fluid and blah blah blah but … Should we be saying that an item of clothing is just that then ok , but what about the more practical or comfort aspects? I just don’t wanna see hairy legs is stockings , and low hanging fruit below the hem line of a mini skirt 😜. I think socially it’s a long way from being acceptable. But should it? The jury is still out on that for me. Maybe it’s the fact that I’m a Scot , and wearing a kilt aka “skirt” is not a new idea. Mini skirts , stockings and thongs though … my equipment makes the idea of that completely uncomfortable and impractical.

I think I have nice legs for example but I would NEVER in a million years go commando in some really short 2 inch inseam unlined shorts. For me it's just about showing my legs. Not partaking in indecent exposure. And I wouldn't want to see anyone else doing it either, male or female. And this is coming from a bisexual.

Long hair used to be a point of pride on men. British sailors let their hair grow as long as possible and wore it in a queue (braided). Men used to wear highly decorated garments, and high heeled shoes. Then for a time short hair on men was the norm, until it wasn't anymore. In the early part of the 20th century, boys wore dresses until they started school.
Learned? Even as a kid I found it disgusting without anyone teaching me about that kind of stuff. They look hideous.

It really depends on what the cultural norms are in the part of the world you live in. In many parts of the world, men wear various kinds of skirts, sarongs, and flowing dress-like robes.

While in a general sense I have no issues with men in feminine clothing (and occasionally wear them myself) I feel a lot of them do it just for the sake of exhibitionism.

I've known guys who crossdress to be attractive when dressed up and then others who were only attractive to me dressed as men. Crossdressing isn't a turn off in my case. I think genderbending stuff can be really hot and fun.
