A good example is the 1990 Grammy's > Paula Abdul was among the most obviously stripper-dressed (even Neil's wife Ruddell, who admitted he was handed drugs like candy, isn't quite so trampy) & the irony is is Abdul's no angel (drug & alcohol problems among other things) so her outfit was in many ways just a reflection of her low class/ethics/morals.
Besides not all women are dressed like that, the red head behind the blonde from the look of her dress (which appears to be near to floor length) can't even be remotely compared to Chopra's trashy outfit.
Award shows? how specific. women who want to show off boobs will do it anywhere they can, award shows? the only one who is showing extra cleavage here is priyanka, the other two are decently covered. if you hate on her does not mean you have to hate on other girls too or associate award shows for this specific topic
I met priyanka 7-8 years ago and she is a self obsessed women and is full of attitude. She just became more self obsessed and mad after moving in with Nick. She is just trying to match up to the Hollywood actresses.

I would already be looking at Priyanka regardless and as much as I would love to see her take the whole thing off, she looks desperate for attention. She's not trying to look nice, because she if she was then she would have chosen something that did, because that just looks like a fancy sleeping robe that isn't properly tied up.
It's an awards show where celebrities get awards, of course people are going to be peacocking around and dressing for more attention. It's not like the Grammys is comparable to some sort of summit for mathematicians and scientists.
TV is becoming irrelevant as a whole and award shows even more so. So that's maybe why. They don't give a fuck anymore and probably just wanna get wasted.

It's all about attention and relevance, the crazier you dress, the more relevant you are in the news, because people are talking about you. You just dropped her name, which gives her more media attention, so it works. Their work is all about being known, that's how they earn their money.
What a stupid world we live in, people consider these people who are somewhat talented in their profession but have no significance on our personal development whatsoever as ideals, and tries to copy them or idealised by them. Those are some beautiful women. I don't really find award shows to be good entertainment anyway. I'm sure they are great fun if you are in the industry and get to have a festive evening with your colleagues.
