Not at all. It's unhealthy and encourages unhealthy habits just as much as anorexia. The leading cause of death in the world is heart disease, think about that the next time people want to glamorize the results of poor exercise and eating.
Why do you go from one extreme to another? Why underweight to overweight? Both are unhealthy and I certainly hope the obesity crisis doesn't get even worse and become normalised. Calling it natural or perfect to be fat isn't helping anyone
I'm all for different body types in the sense of different heights and bone structure, but they should all have a healthy level of bodyfat, between 16-28% for women. The ones you posted are well over 40% which is asking for an early death and physically repulsive.
Evolution? No. It's perfectly okay to have a body that isn't anorexic Barbie, but gaining weight is not evolution. And I say this as a fan of plus size women, and I mean the real ones, not just models whose tits get all the attention, simply average women who happen to weigh like 200 pounds.
I think it'll be more accepted 10 years later. I recently saw an ad for leggings where they show all women of all sizes wearing them. And I rather all sizes than one because we're all made different.
It used to be a beauty standard long ago, its only evolution if people find it attractive though. If plus size women get more sex and thus you get more plus sized women gene's in the gene pool it would be evolution.
Somehow what you call "plus size" is a kind way to say "obese". It is a disease, it is a sign of bad health. These people are not moving enough except to put the fourk at mouth. If it is the futur, no thank, i prefer someone healthy.
I think there may be some truth in it, but I don't believe in morbid obesity or so fat that it becomes a health or fitness risk. I'm not really a fan of naturally thinner or athletic women purposely eating more or something in order to become plus-size either.
I think the women around 30 years old, no obbesity and normal has the prime body that men like more.. But truth is whatever comes on TV Ads and Reality shows will be set as standards and people will brain washed by the corporates of the world..
No one as I told you they are not eating junk they have a healthy diet and daily workout. Moreover, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases isn't related with the overweight issues only! Yes overweight is a factor, but thousands of people have such diseases while they are below the 25 BMI
Doesn't matter what they eat. Their weight is extremely unhealthy in itself. I have witnessed an autopsy of someone like that, and their internal organs are not a pretty sight. Overweight, even moderate, is the greatest factor in many serious diseases, many forms of cancer included.
I'm sorry that's not scientific at all, please I'm not trying to convince you to become overweight, I only want not to demonize such women And never impose a certain shape to suit everyone!!
@LovelyFlower Obesity and even moderate overweight is very unhealthy and in fact the single most prevalent factor in severe health issues and premature deaths. It's not about hate, it's about promoting unhealthy ideals.
Let’s be honest here the models above or any obese person for that matter are aware that they are obese & unhealthy. So why does it bother you? By the looks of it you are speaking from a place of passion on this topic.
I still don't know how they could be that overweight if they were eating normal calorie intake and healthy food unless they had a metabolic problem or other medical conditions or were on meds that caused weight gain.
Actually just looked it up & Insurance companies are allowed to charge higher health insurance rates to people whose body mass index (BMI) – a common measure of obesity – is too high. People with BMI’s above 30 or 31 can see an increase in their insurance as much as 25%; If their BMI is more than 39, they can be charged 50% more than someone with a BMI of 25.
Plus size models are healthy weights. Obese size models are some other category that I’m not sure it should really thing beyond the purpose of controversy.
Awoke who is 5 ft 6 and 142 pounds will be considered plus size to a woman who is 5 ft 6 and 99 pounds but the first wan is not overweight. Just overweight for the size of clothing that designers make for the runway.
They are all tiny Bc there is a standard size that the clothes are made in. They all agreed on one size. I understand that. it means all clothing is sample size. And the models just recycle old stuff.
Now why the “ standard size” can not be a size that is less stressful in the body and potentially threat ing to health I don't know... maybe It’s a conspiracy, they wanted to make sure the woman can’t get pregnant and mess up the cat walk. It’s very hard to have regular periods at 15 BMI.
I bet that they want bodies to not distract from the clothing. Fine so Maybe the models wouldn’t be 142 they could be 120 or 110 but not 90. It’s just not necessary.
And there is no reason that you need to go from 90 to 300 pounds to point out 90 isn’t the healthiest weight. Why the crazy extremes. It just looks like using one bad extreme to justify another.
I realize models are not under 5 9 but most women are not 5 ft9 so I’m using a lower height, to make the comparison relatable.
IN THE MODELING WORLD A WOMAN WITH NORMAL WEIGHT ex BMI of 22 IS CONSIDERED PLUS SUZE
I’m not calling plus size people healthy. I’m saying a healthy weight is considered plus size by model industry.
Obese models called plus size, is not a real thing. There are no obese women walking down run ways. Just some magazine pics to trigger people.
I explained it all in detail already in my first response. I’m not going over it again. Read it. Or don’t. But you are not responding to what I actually said. Which is annoying.
That's the thing "OVERWEIGHT" women are running catwalks, even obese, in guise of "plus size". I forgot her name the one that has tattoos, she was some sort of empowerment running catwalk. They are constantly being harassed by Fat Acceptance hence token plus size models.
So there is zero confusion this is exactly what _I_ said. So if you are going to disagree with je ( which is perfectly fine) please disagree based on what I AM saying. Thank you.
@ healthy BMI I e something like 20-22
is considered “Plus size” in modeling industry
Where BMI of 15 or below is often required to fit into fashion designer model “standard size” clothing.
I think they look epic to be honest. My only problem would be the type of dudes they date. Most big women that are plus size or musclebound normally go for men with larger body mass. Us normal guys are screwed.
But yeah, they are hot. by the way what's the name of the lady in black? The 1st and 3rd ones are Le Tecia. Not sure who are the 2nd and last one.
Typical America. This is how we are looked at from around the world. Obese, fat, unhealthy, doesn’t care kinda body. I think athletic should be the new look, not chronic heart disease.

They are fat and have no self-discipline. Being fat has nothing to do with having a normal female body

Yesss even I am plus size women and men really like it
I do 👌

These models have a certain diet and working out 1 hr daily to keep that perfect shape
Yes you have copy and pasted this answer to everyone who replied. It doesn't address anything I said, so why bother?
No, that's fucking repulsive.

I hate to break it to everyone, but, being overweight is NOT healthy and will shorten your life in most cases.
I'm not suggesting that people should be rail thin either, just a healthy weight !!!

I like plus-size though.
so long as they are healthy for the most part and not obesely huge. I do not mind plus size girl.
just like so long as there not all skin and bones. I do not mind slim girls.
happy to date anything in between.
They were never a problem honestly... only foolish thinking people make beautiful women like that a problem
Bro, only me, you n people like us can understand that
Yep appreciate what u hav and love her truly... forget those who don't understand life and the beauty there of
I'm talking generally not on personal level 😂
But I think those men hide their insecurities of not able to handle big women by hating them 😂
I think the women around 30 years old, no obbesity and normal has the prime body that men like more.. But truth is whatever comes on TV Ads and Reality shows will be set as standards and people will brain washed by the corporates of the world..
Agree
I think as long as they are healthy, women should be able to enjoy their bodies without being told that one size is better than the other.
100%
Overeating and being physically inactive is by no means natural.
These models have a certain diet and working out 1 hr daily to keep that perfect shape
They are FAT and UNHEALTHY. How many of them will develop diabetes within those 10 years? And cardiac/coronary disease within 20?
No one as I told you they are not eating junk they have a healthy diet and daily workout. Moreover, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases isn't related with the overweight issues only! Yes overweight is a factor, but thousands of people have such diseases while they are below the 25 BMI

Here’s advice try being uplifting person instead of being negative & hateful.

Lol another down vote for a snowflake
@LovelyFlower It isn't their private matter if they use public health care or make insurance more expensive by overusing it,
I still don't know how they could be that overweight if they were eating normal calorie intake and healthy food unless they had a metabolic problem or other medical conditions or were on meds that caused weight gain.

Women started off curvy it’s not a revolution. Models are not a common size. Most of them are under weight.
They are not there to promote health just fashion and the designers don’t give a hoot if they are ill.
Healthy is thinner turn them but 20 to 50 pounds heavier than the average runway model in magazines.
Plus size models are healthy weights. Obese size models are some other category that I’m not sure it should really thing beyond the purpose of controversy.

Plus size are NOT healthy hence the word "plus size" ie fat. All plus size models exceed healthy BMI range.

Amen.
If they are models, they may be required to stay that their particular weight range. It may require the same careful dieting, ironically.
I think props to them for being confident in themselves enough to be showing themselves like they are.
yes agreed
I agree but I hate imposing the slim idea for women
