The 1st an 2nd photo is for a plus size Model called La Tecia Thomas, she used to be skinny with athletic build she has an interesting story, read it in the below link

No because if it were the case then there wouldn't be the adverse effects of increased weight gain.
If it were an evolutionary step then it's going to be a very short one because of the health impacts.
Darwin evolutionary theory posits that any evolutionary step has or brings benefits to the species, increasing the chance that the new step will repeat through the generations and propagate through the species so that within ten generations that step has become the norm within the species.
We don't see this within the human species. Now don't get me wrong here I find women who have a woman's figure more attractive because to me they look like real women not like something out of a cartoon.
But just because to me they look attractive that does not mean they are the norm nor does it mean that their increased body size is an evolutionary step. If that were the case then there would be little to no health related effects of the step and they would have more likely been showing in girls from an earlier age
I think they've been the pinnacle of evolution for millennia and the recently fading thinness craze was just a blip in human history caused by a period of centralized fashion and media that was controlled by a few old men e. g. Ed Razek (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/02/01/business/victorias-secret-razek-harassment.html )
But historically, plus-sized women would have had an evolutionary advantage and there is plenty of archaeological evidence and examples from art that their body type has long been naturally preferred. In the 90s, the centralized control of network television and magazines allowed a few elitists to dictate ideal body shape. But nowadays, the secrets behind who was controlling Victoria Secret is out. Media is decentralized thanks to the Internet. People are just returning to where evolution has been heading all along.
Agreed. These runway models look like they would be torn in half if they ever even gave birth!
@DonCachondo I was giving this some thought and what could really put fatties over the top would be the invention of a game called FATBALL. It would be just like American football, but all players had to weigh at least 300 pounds (dripping wet).
And no padding would be needed because all players are required to have a minimum of 40% body fat.
Then, to top it off, the field is covered with a 12" thick layer of jello. Different flavors to represent different team. Of course the games would be very low scoring, but just the fun of watching them roll around on the field, eating jello would be the attraction.
@DonCachondo Awesome, so do you think this could fly? I've run it by some other guys who see potential.
A lot of you snow flakes in the comments deserve to get down voted for acting so ignorant without at least acknowledging or trying to understand plus size women/models. You obviously are stupid and don't pay attention anyways and your really shallow to put them down. You can't just ASSSUME SHIT about people okay! And I'm not even plus size myself but I am a little chubby and I'm also healthy according to my doctor. I don't need people validating that and neither do these women. Maybe if you payed a little more attention to their story and get your finger out of your asses, you'd understand better. Leticia Thomas as featured in this post, has a workout routine. Numerous amounts of times she's posted videos of her AT THE GYM! Yet when people put down skinny girls you guys defend them huh but some women aren't meant to be skinny either. I'm one of them and I'm sickened by this generation. I don't care though because my boyfriend finds me beautiful and likes chubby girls like me. #bodytypedoesntdefinehealth
Finally someone can understand what I am trying to say since yesterday.. great
I'm just disgusted by how rude all these people are. Not even being open minded or giving plus women the respect. Plus I know how it feels, even being just a little chubby I was bullied and people assumed many things about me. For years I also struggled with eating disorders. I felt like it's time to speak up.
They are really sick people, ignore them
All honesty, if you feel happy and you are at the weight you want to be then fuck everyone else's opinion over weight or skinny. It doesn't effect their lives and if they prefer average or skinny body types well good on them. Everyone has a different preference, the ones being pricks about theirs need to shut up.
Fuck those haters. As long as you have no medical issue regarding your weight, and you have a decently healthy diet and level of physical activity, you are a healthy person, even if it means you're on the chubbier/thicker side appearance-wise.
These people are victims of the fitness industry marketing. They have totally complicated and corrupted the definition of health and fitness, which at its core should be something as simple as being within a healthy weight range, eating healthy and being physically active.
@CubsterShura well said
Dude, you are 37 now, probably in poor shape and the fatties are starting to look good to you. In another ten years, you're gonna be one of them, so yah, your right.
You'll just look like a couple of walrus laying on a beach towel, eating fish out of a bucket and belching loudly.
People grabbing up their kids out of fear that you'll eat them and little girls creaming, "I want to go home mommy".
That's the world you want to promote here? Wow, things are just getting worse and worse.
when will people realize that what they perceive to be perfection in their head, isn't what it always seems like in reality, waiting for perfection doesn't bring perfection, but accepting people for who they are, is real perfection, not a false image of what they want things to be
"body size doesn't define health"? Seems like you are the shallow and uneducated one here.
Well I have news for you!
Obesity is linked to many health problems, including:
- type 2 diabetes
- high blood pressure
- heart disease and strokes
- certain types of cancer
- sleep apnea
- osteoarthritis
- fatty liver disease
- kidney disease
- pregnancy problems, such as high blood sugar during pregnancy, high blood pressure, and increased risk for cesarean delivery (C-section)
So think again... Because your body size DOES say a lot about your health...
@BlackRoseFairy Amen!!!
I'm not obese stupid b****
By all accounts, it's fine that there are plus-sized models; that's not an issue. There are, nonetheless, health consequences. It is ultimately their job to eat the right kinds of foods that would result in good health. Being overweight is unhealthy. It's a sign you're eating the wrong kinds of foods (though there are cases where people are given the wrong kinds of foods as kids for whatever reason affecting their ability to lose weight and keep it off). Whatever the context is, it is important to eat lean meats (e. g., salmon and chicken) and protein-rich foods like pumpkin seeds. Drink lots of water. Sure, these models work out at the gym, but are they doing meaningful exercises? Not sure what they do or don't do. I'm sure @1828avaava1828 would have a stronger sense than I would about effective diet and exercise routine. Being too skinny has its own host of problems (e. g., kidney stones).
A corollary to that: #healthisdefinedbybodytype
@DonCachondo You want to give a trophy to everyone, even the ones that didn't even show up. That's just stupid. You want to make excuses instead of setting goals and sticking to them. Weak man, really weak. See you in the loser's circle.
@1828ToastyTimothy 🥊 I live the life of a martial artist and eat to be healthy. Namaste
@NatalieKeller95 Well, my dear, I think I could follow you anywhere and agree with just about anything you want.
"We're losing our country to harmful demographic changes and you want to sit there watching e-girls dance? Wake up America!" #HealthIsDefinedByBodyType
@JimmyQ Absolutely not! Every body type, man or woman, has a healthy range of fat written into each of our DNA, and the body has many ways of signalling whether it's in or out of range. One great sign of ideal weight is when the collection of one's body fat manages to distribute itself in a way that negates flab, folds, and any other common signs of excess fat associated with poor health.
Face it, my dude: some ladies were born to become THICC MAMAS due to the blessed fat distribution in her genes; some others can pull off varying ranges between thicc and rail-thin; and the rest would look like amorphous blobs if they even tried to become thicc, assuming their bodies can store fat efficiently enough to put on the necessary weight!
@1828avaava1828 Pumpkin seeds are an excellent source of fiber. Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo will greet you Christmas Day if you have enough fiber Christmas Eve!
@1828ToastyTimothy fiber rocks, especially soluble fiber. Beans are the best source in world 🤗
@1828avaava1828 I will live life, when I can finally gain my independence, the way you do as much as I can! "My spoon is too big!"
@NatalieKeller95 Okay, so my invite falls flat. No biggie, you lose. Bye.
Oh my aching head, why would anyone want to look like them? I blame men for this trend as they all seem to like big booty. So when all the women are looking this way then the women who are slim and fit will be Queen and the men will then desire slim women. I guess men just don't know what they want - 6 of one or a half dozen of the other. Besides, the first and third pics are of a trans gender who still has a shrunken dick as is seen in the pics. So you really can't use them as a plus size comparison without also comparing dicks.
No she's is called la'tecia Thomas
And No I can't find a dick in her photos even the one you showed 😂
She born as a girl!!
www.milkmanagement.co.uk/.../
well she sure seems to have a lengthwise bulge there which is not natural in a female. The head of the penis, which looks uncut, is to the left. You can see the fabric is elongated on the left more than on the right to accommodate the penis length. At least it sure looks like it.
Also just because it doesn't say it and calls her a she doesn't mean she is not transgender.
I think you have chosen the wrong person to prove your idea
La Tecia was a slim model with athletic body
Check this link please:
www.thesun.co.uk/.../
Oh please, do the pictures look like she is "Slim"? She looks the same as I did when I weighed 190 pounds.
Didn't get ur last comment
Of course, looking at your name I get "Ham in a daze" If you think the girl that I'm referring to is "Slim", you need your eyes examined or are just used to thick girls. :(
Open this link.. it seems u didn't understand me... she "WAS" slim
www.thesun.co.uk/.../
For someone who's 31 you sure don't act like it lol.
@unknown9987 you are damn right , tell her please 😎

Not sure, where does it show that having more fat equals natural. All women may become fat in the next ten years but I don't see that as being necessarily their natural state.
If we continue to all become fat then some members of the species would have traits to allow them to be able to survive better than others, so the evolution could happen if they're selected over others if the fatness continued for generations.
A person who is a model is not meant to represent the average person though, they're a model because they're better than the average, not because they're fat like the average person.
What about other things people enjoy, would people want to watch athletes who could play as well as the average person off the street, and that all looked pretty similar to everyone else?
It doesn't seem to make sense, it seems like people want to reward people who have advantages over them, so it wouldn't make sense if most models looked just like everyone else since a model is supposed to be an ideal instead of what everyone looks like.
I don't know what causes some people to prefer overweight people, I think some people are pushing a political agenda and pretending to prefer them so others don't feel bad, but I'm also curious if there are people who genuinely would prefer a person who is fat and what the cause could be.
And just because historically they were preferred, which I don't know if that's true, doesn't mean they'd be preferable in our current environment since we have an abundance of food so being able to store lots of fat might be good if food was a scarce but not sure if it would be good when we have so much.
You're talking about models being an evolution of women? The fact that you and others think that way is the problem in the first place. You don't need a model that looks like you to be the way you are. You should be you and try to be the best you no matter if someone is representing you in a magazine or not.
I didn't expect all women to look like thin models before and I won't expect all women to look like plus sized women now so what change exactly will this make? I just have a problem with people who rely so much on trends and what's acceptable in society to be who they want to be. It's like you're waiting for permission to do something you already wanted to do.
What use is freedom if you can't look the way you want to look unless someone else tells you it's acceptable now? You can do whatever you want on any day of the week so what are you waiting for? If it's important to you then do it. Trends are one of the most stupid things that exist in this world that's my opinion.
Mehh the phrasing of the question is all wrong, it's not evolution but a trend.
Trends come and go true but the most important I agree is to be healthy mentally and physically.
Now in my personal opinion I found the examples a bit too much, I don't imply that everyone needs to be a gym fanatic with abs.
But a healthy diet and regular exercise is a must.
I don’t have a problem with advocating the idea that all sizes are beautiful because they are. However, obesity isn’t beautiful and I do see a lot of women justifying not loosing weight by saying all beauty isn’t one size. I think instead we need to encourage healthy body’s regardless of size. Some women are naturally on the heavier size and we need to glorify this and make them feel good, but we also should demonise people for wanting to be slim. Personally I am naturally a fairly skinny person and I often feel that people are now more judging towards people like this, when ever I go to things like public pools I have to put up with people saying that I’m anorexic or bulimic all because I have a slender build. This is just as bad the fat shaming that used to go on in magazines, we can’t just redirect hatred somewhere else. It’s more important to find a balance between the two and have magazines and adverts showing all different body types, big and small
I said should demonise when I meant shouldn’t.
Totally agree with you, I'm not advocating the obesity and bad health habits
NOPE. Not at all. Nearly 65% of population is overweight or obese. So practically 2/3 people are "plus size". It doesn't mean being overweight is attractive, for one being overweight is responsible for many chronic diseases hence can never be attractive. Purpose of evolution is survival not plunging us to early grave.
You just have to look at what body types guys go for first. In mens magazines, porn, nightclubs etc. Its simply natural selection. Healthier weight ranges will be most attractive to men and hence men will be drawn to them. Lets take it in return are "plus size" guys evolution of men? Do you see any plus size men in romance novels?
I do feel like curvy/thick is in right now. People in real life are not gonna worship obesity anytime soon though. But being muscular with healthy level of fat, seems to be the ideal.
Totally agree u got my point, I actually mean a healthy curvy/ plus size woman
Plus-size is just sizing in clothes. Says nothing about your health. You could be perfectly healthy and still be wearing some plus size clothing, maybe because you have a bit of chubbiness, maybe because you have prominent curves or you prefer oversized clothing. I think clothing sizes are a load of bull anyway, wear what fits you.
I'm far from plus size yet a lot of my clothes are in L and XL size. Nobody looks at me and thinks that I'm 'plus-size'. Quite the opposite, some tell me that I'm skinny.
People don’t know how hard it is to lose weight, I guess if they are always skinny. If you wanted to lose weight, you might not be losing, cuz of medication, you might be taking medication, you can gain weight, cuz of medication the side effects, it might be sooo incredibly hard to lose weight if on medication. My sister has a medical condition that makes it sooo incredibly hard to lose weight.
Agree
I just want to point out who the leaders and critics of that super skinny and tall fashion scene is... gay men and other women.
I just hate how their standards somehow get labeled as all stright men's standards. It's not. I like em all.
Due to the update I'll also add... I think our society needs to update what obesity is. Some body types are obviously meant to hold more and still be attractive. It's when they exceed their genetics to the point of overflow. Here's my evidence...
Look at those skinny models...7/10ths waist to hip ratio, and same with the thicc girls here in the pics, close to a 7/10ths waist to hip ratio. See, once the waist exceeds the hips, that should be considered obesity. We need to get away from scales and weight and start using measurements as standards.
It’s funny how people talk about health but actually have no idea what they are talking about. Bikini competitors and women with super low body fat percentage are NOT healthy.
Competitive athletes are NOT healthy.
Guys just want to confirm their own sexual opinion with science and shit. Just say you like a certain type of girl. You look at her, your peepee goes up. You don’t have to rationalize it scientifically.
Too many people think being healthy means being a top 1% athlete or something. That’s not the definition of health.
I think you need to understand the word 'evolution' before you ask questions like this. Weight and figure are down to lifestyle choices, not some advantage created by natural selection.
Lol, I believe u need to understand I'm here to stat scientific "FACTS" it's just a metaphorical expression to get your attention, which I did 🤣
*Not here to*
But I got ur answer anyway thanks 😁😁😁😁👍😁😂😂😂
If they got a gig while plus size, great. But in order to keep the gig, they should eventually have to exercise to try to get fit because being PLUS is not a positive... and this is coming from someone whos not skinny themselves. So im not being mean. Im just saying #Its2020doBETTER
What do you mean by gig?
Hired to model
Nah they look great and should stay that way! Some ladies need a little meat on their bones to uncover their real god-given curves.
1) Holy fuck, gross, and
2) The term "plus-sized" is erroneous and stupid and no one should use it. , and
3) Which synonym for "fat" do you usually use, if you're too afraid to use that word?
I am not sure if the fashion industry will conform to reality any more than they currently do, but plus size is definitely the future. The media industrial complex has started to loose its grip and more women are realizing they should feel attractive at any size. I am fully on board with this, chubby girls are more attractive anyway.
yes ! maybe we women are tired of being on diets to keep slim and have that 36 / 24 / 36 figure just to get a man with ! when women get the man and have his babies , then he wants us to get back into the bodies we had before we gave him his children ! no way ! if men can become - fat , mean , lazy toothless , smelly and so forth then we women can let ourselves go as well ! Thanks
I cannot predict the future. However, if there is a preference for slender girls so that slender girls are having on average 5% more children that survive to adulthood, in less than 100 generations (2,500 years), almost all girls will be slender.
During the Stone Age, when obtaining food on a regular basis was a problem and people would go hungry for weeks or months, being fatter offered a significant survival advantage. Since modern times with adequate food is only a flash in the pan in evolutionary terms, women (and men) still have a propensity to be plus-size.
I'll just tell you one thing that happened in history so I'm from Egypt back in the 60 I think females in my country where married based on their weight some how all guys ended up with a fetish for fat and by fat I Mean seriously Obese ladies it was a war time and a food shortage it was thought that a woman who was fat was from a wealthy family or that she wad fed properly even if her family is modest and that was a quality so I won't be surprised
That's why I share this question as I'm Egyptian too 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I dont think plus size will become the norm but the ultra thin unhealthy depiction of females days are numbered. I think the future will be just regular sized models that represent the majority of the public. Although currently many models who are a perfectly healthy weight are seen as plus size simply because they aren't paper thin which is wrong
I actually think people will start to understand it isn't healthy when they start losing their parents early or their siblings or spouse. The wear and tear on the body is real. I have maintained a healthy weight and even my bones and joints are wearing out. Some of it is genetics and to be honest some could be due to some bad eating habits in my 30s and 40s with coca cola consumption. If I had weighed more than my top weight 130 at 50 I'd be an even more hot mess.
I just think self love is more advocated these day; so people are accepting their bodies more. And losing weight is a thing that's more realistic and can be naturally achieved through exercise and dieting. So I'd say which ever shape or body a lady has she can be beautiful.
Excellent 👍
You can't predict fashion 10 years into the future. You can't predict fashion 10 months into the future.
Do you think anyone from 2010 would have predicted this as a fashion trend?
