Any girls hate wearing makeup?

I hate wearing makeup anywhere unless it’s for cool make looks with bright eyeshadow and such. I don’t like wearing it in public or with my friends/boyfriend because it causes acne and it’s pretty pointless. I don’t see the purpose in wearing makeup besides low self esteem, I used to wear it since I hated my looks and I still do hate them but I don’t wear makeup anymore besides for cool photo shoots (with eyeshadow that matches the background). I also hate how it takes a long time to do because my hairs already naturally curly and a pain to care for so adding on makeup is extra. I want people to see the real me and not a mask, if I’m in a relationship I don’t want my boyfriend seeing me with a ton of makeup on then see me without it all and I don’t look as good to him. Wearing no makeup has not changed my life one bit with interactions with others so I don’t see a point in wearing it. Well i love wearing makeup cuz i enjoy the process of putting it on and the display of it. It definitely does somehow makes me feel more attractive going out, not gonna lie (and the fact that i feel attractive is because i find myself attractive)
I don’t mainly do it for recognition or validation. In fact, a lot of people have told me they see no difference between me with or without makeup since i’m considered as “naturally beautiful” or something like that. Plus i only date girls and the girls i date could not give less fuck about me wearing makeup or not, instead they prefer me not wearing any since “natural beauty” kinda thing.
I do it for myself and not anybody else, period.

I have this mixed feeling towards makeup. I started wearing makeup at the age of twelve and there were times I wouldn't even leave the house without a little bit of makeup. I started watching so many youtube makeup tutorial videos and I ended up being very good at doing my own makeup always receive so many compliments whenever I do my makeup. However, approximately two and a half years ago I opted to try a more natural look and no makeup makeup looks which take me not more than ten minutes to get ready and now that's all I wear everyday and I only do my makeup (full glam and because my job requires) when I have to go to work.

I respect your energy and confidence and way of thinking cause I couldn't agree more with you ! The thing is I constantly fight with my girlfriend to not put makeup on when we getting out because I already love her as she is but nah she does it any way and I really can't understand why...

I hate makeup. I refuse to wear any. It takes time to make it look good, clogs my pores, and just isn't worth the effort. I haven't worn make up in years other than my wedding day where I still wore as minimal as possible which was eye shadow, mascara, and lip gloss.

I don't hate it, it makes me feel pretty and gives me a confidence boost. However, that doesn't mean I don't feel pretty or that I'm not confident when I'm not wearing makeup, because I still am. Tho I don't wear makeup everyday, only once in a while because I find it troublesome to spend my time putting on makeup. I just wear makeup for when I want to feel a bit more dressed up.

I only ever wear mascara and sometimes tinted chapstick. I don’t particularly like makeup- it’s a lot of work and it takes away from peoples natural beauty. I think part of the reason people are so self conscious these days is because the overuse of makeup has caused a rise in the standard of beauty

Dries out your skin (peeling), prevents the sun from touching it (unhealthy paleness), causes acne
All things that are unnatural and unsightly, which makes women feel like they have to wear it to "cover up" even more; an awful cycle..

So true! For a short point in time, a few years ago maybe, there was a shift in societal norms for women to actually go without makeup, it became "socially acceptable", for a brief point in time, so a lot of women were doing it.. but it was so short lived.. now the "beauty community" floods the mainstream so most women feel like they have to "beat their face" to go out in public..
Honestly I really can appreciate and love some of the art these professional artists do on their face for fun. But it becomes a real problem when the message is that women have to wear a mask everytime they step out of the house..
