Traditionally it was applied on the hands and feet, but nowadays it can be applied anywhere.
What do you think of henna body art?
Traditionally it was applied on the hands and feet, but nowadays it can be applied anywhere.
Love mehndi, and I admire mehndi artists. I also love the aroma of mehndi paste! Have had traditional mehndi done on me before as I took part in a mehndi party as one of the many festivities as a bridesmaid for a Hindu wedding.
Lmao this whole time i thought it was actual tattoos
The question or actual henna?
I thought henna was permanent tats
Ohh. Nah you wash it off, and then the pattern stays there for about 2 weeks
Oh wow
Look nice, if it's done right, definitely seen it before, it's kind of like a temporary tattoo.
It's part of south Asian culture I believe, especially on Weddings, definitely seen it some brides.
Hey I had a couple of Asian girlfriends who were into mendhi. Especially in Diwali/Eid times.
I quite like the art form and think it's better than tatoo's. But it's not everyone's cup of tea.

I think it looks awesome if done by someone that knows how to do it. Not all are so neat as the ones shown in the picture, but the ones that are, are amazing.
Your question brought back many memories. In my college days, during free periods we used to buy henna and my friend would apply it to the group.
Mehndi lagake rakhana Dollhi sajake rakhana lene tuje oh Ghamandi ayenge tere sajana 🥳😅🌹👍😎
@Aakash_Hangargi
Mehndi Na Mujhko Lagana Mujhe Sajan K Ghar Nahi Jaana
Toh main aajaunga 😂 koi baat nahi rent pe lenge koi ghar
@Aakash_Hangargi
Who's inviting you dude?
Tum aur kaun missed you lol🌹😂
@Aakash_Hangargi
Kadapi nahi
You said that the sake of formality.
When we miss someone, we ask their haal chaal.
Aise hi kyu bolunga balike agar tum ne hi nahi Baat kiya mere se balike warna tho main roz message karta
@Aakash_Hangargi You were the one who seem miffed after the last convo we had.
Obviously you didn't message me back it was becoming one sided lol 😂
And remember you had exams I didn't wanted to disturb you so I thought you would message back but no it's always a guys responsibility right lol🤣
it kinda feels like dirt or mud drawn on the body, which is pretty weird
Its a natural dye that is made from plants
I love henna and when I get a good recommendation for a place and enough money, I'm gonna get a little done
Pretty cool, I've grown up with it culturally, and it is very pretty.
I'm not good at doing the patterns and stuff tho lmao
It's a beautiful art form
It's so lovely I've never had a chance to have it done but it's still very beautiful to look at
Some people just have not any better uses for their money then to make their bodies look like a comic book page.
Lol it's not that costly it's just heena it will go washed off in two weeks max and become likd an oceans map
@Aakash_Hangargi Oh, you mean it is just ink/paint and it is not permanent like a tattoo? Well in that case I think it would be okay.
It's not even ink it's an organic substance from tree that is converted to paste form
@Aakash_Hangargi interesting. Never heard of this before. I got to get out more.
I am not gonna go detail but just small info
Mehandi is organic substance paste filled in a cone then the person who is capable of doing mehndi art does some digrams like how the icing on cake is done and name is written on cake similarly they draw complex geometrical designs on hand arms legs torso probably anywhere you want in skin to layout the design it takes like half hour to one hour depending on the design complexity and you should sit like a paralysed person not much moment bc the mehndi has to live imprint on the body of the geometrical design and you have to like let it dry if acvidebtendly thd mehendi is rubbed immediately before it's dried then it's waste of time lol😂 like you have sit for an hour without doing anything that would disturb it then when you wash it leaves an brownish to light red lite brownish color geometrical pattern design which the artist drew
I like it, it looks cooll. Also you can use henna to try out a tattoo before you set it. Can help greatly
Better than tattoos but time consuming and may be irritating to sit while they do the art and its only for two days after that the art becomes map of an ocean lol😂👍
It's amazing
Even I have tried mehindi taboo on my wrist.
Love doing it. I can't use face paint, so I've also used it for cosplay markings
I hate drawing or painting on my body so I can't really say anything about this.
Yessss !!! "Mehendi" !!! That's the word I know for that. And it's the only form of tattoos I approve of... and I love it. (Only on girls of course... hahaha).
Strangely I love both the smell, the process of drawing it and the after magic! #lovemehendi
I love it! It's part of my culture. I like to apply it on my hands only.
Mine too
I love it! It has a festive vibe to it such as weddings or Eid. Its beautiful really.
Sweet in regards to traditional Henna Art, crap if you are using it to put a Henna tramp stamp on a back side (seen it ).🤢
A lot of that stuff is absolutely gorgeous; I love it.
Indian women usually do this and I think it’s really beautiful especially during weddings.
i love it on body parts
love it on belly, shoulders, bare back
