What do you think of “Barbiecore” aesthetic?

Barbiecore? I kinda wish I never heard of this. And I hadn't! Until now!

No ma'am, I don't like it. I like feminine women and girly-girls, but that much pink doesn't leave a good taste in my mouth.

My very first therapist, when I was 18, had this "Barbiecore" aesthetic about her, looking like she was straight out of Beverly Hills and not Tom's River, NJ. She was a 5'11" blonde haired, blue eyed, DD-'ed twenty-something woman named Jessica. She must have just gotten her degree in psychology given her age. She wasn't much older than I am, and I would've guessed 26. She was very nice and sweet, but ultimately useless in therapy, with all her answers considering of "I don't know." I was especially upset at the time because I hadn't grown since age ten and was worried I skipped puberty entirely and that something was wrong with me, even though my equally sh*tty doctors couldn't come up with anything, and all she did was sit there, sipping chai tea through a straw, trying her best to feign looking concerned.

So I forever associate the bright neon pink (with optional white) girly-girl look with being vapid, dumb, and self-centered.

What do you think of “Barbiecore” aesthetic?

In terms of overtly feminine fashion, I don't dislike it.
I like velour and fuzzy as materials, and I like crop tops and onesies, even if I don't care for the pastel pink.

It looks girly but not infantile the way lolita fashion or DD/lg fashion would, so that's why it's fine with me.

I know how the ancient Romans would feel if they had a time machine and could see how most of the buildings from their time have been ruined. Women had so much more class & looked great doing it when I was younger. Now most women look horrible but have greatly inflated egos.

Based on these pictures it's a bit out of style to. me. the first pic would be ok with a different bottom and foot wear. But the rest is just unappealing to look at.

really just depends, I like most aesthetics because it gives people a way to embrace their inner self, some days we wanna be grunge, some days we wanna be formal. it’s cute and usually has a meaning behind the outfit itself
