+1 yIn moderation it’s beneficial because it increases vitamin D levels which lowers your risk of CoVid and helps you stay in shape. Too much and you could get skin cancer but there are sun tan lotions that may help with that. Also a lot of tanned or dark skinned people are biologically resistant to skin cancer because their ancestors have lived in the hot burning sun for centuries.

+1 yWhen I was growing up, my parents insisted I go to the beach with them every weekend in the summer, and get some sun and a “healthy tan”. They believed the tan would keep you healthy come winter. My family tanned for the most part, but I just burned so badly and got covered in freckles. Once I got to college, I avoided the sun as much as possible. If I didn’t burn and freckle instead of tanning, I may not have been so wanting to avoid the sun as an adult.

Now as people work a lot they don't have much time to go outside. An indicator of having money is being able to spend free time outside. How can you convey that? By being tanned.31 Reply
