What do you think of large hoop earrings? Are they trashy?

Question

I read that it's better to wear them for special occasions (concerts, going out and such) but what do you guys think? Are they too much for occasional wear while going out to do some shopping or eating out?

What do you think about them in general? Lots of people (especially in the past) considered them trashy. :|

The things prostitutes and strippers were known for wearing back in my day are common and accepted now. Only thing that hasn't caught on is clear heels with a damned goldfish swimming around in the platform.

The fake nails, eye lashes, dark eye shadow, over drawn lipstick and eyeliner, glitter, dyed hair, implants, tattoos, hoop earrings, name plate necklaces with some dudes name on it...

But hey, you do you sis... but to normal people, you guys look like a dirty musty wash rag with all of that trash on. Imagine the money you'd save fixing your self esteem instead of trying to look like some whooooor...

Those, in the picture, aren't large! I've seen MUCH bigger!! My dog could jump through them!! But, no, they don't look trashy. The trashy ones are the ones black chicks were wearing a decade or two ago where they were basically wearing HUGE name plates in their ears!!! Those and those STUPID fake gold ones that looked like huge Greek pillars!!! I swear to Buddha, they go out of their way to LOOK stupid!!!

I think some girls pulled it off really well rather it’s small or big. When I was in high school, I used to love wearing them to look cool 😂 but as I adult, I stopped cuz my style changed and I feel like I have the type of face I can easily look like a baddie if I wanna with certain styles 😅 but it’s not the look I want.. or people will easily labeled me as an ABG haha. But lately, I did try to add new style with more stylish hoop earrings than the original since I like unique looks.

I have really chubby cheeks so big hoops are all I wear. Smaller earrings don't fit my face well. Idc if people think they're trashy. I love em.

It depends on the outfit. I think large hoops can look good if place with the right outfit. So say, you are wearing something fairly plain or modest, a good hoop can really pop.

Here are the 3 things men hate the most, fake eyelashes (especially super long ones), fake hair, and those fake press-on claws. I don't mean press on nails in general, the super long claws that a lot of women are putting on. It makes a woman look ridiculous, like a clown. And if you have all 3, that's not even that person anymore, they are a caricature of a person they think they want to be.
Point being, if a woman has too much fake stuff on, its a safe bet she's a fake all the way around.

They are sexy not classy. Usually i assume girls with a big hoop are slutty. Im not aware of any non slutty girls who wear them and every slutty girl i know wears them. The only exception is i told my girlfriend to wear them for me once when we went out.

I think some women pull them off really nicely! I don’t think they are trashy. If someone wants to make a statement with their earrings then you do you!
One thing I love about them, is that a lot of women who are going through cancer treatments wear them to feel empowered (once they start going through chemo and lose their hair etc) My friends cousin did this. This purpose alone would make me love hoop earrings.

Don't care really. Probably wouldn't even notice a girl wearing them or not. It's one of those things i would put in The girl thinks it matter's more than it does to a guy Box. There will be weirdo's who are strongly ageist it for no reason tho and those who do find it attractive one man's trash is another man's treasure. You can make it trashy or not w the rest of your look! Overdone makeup and out of style clothing will make it tacky but these are accessories at the end of the day and can be styled to look trendy!!
