Why are beauty standards eurocentric except for skin color?

Globally, beauty standards are eurocentric facial features such as huge large eyes and pointy nose and angular face, etc..
However skin color is exception. No matter what the skin color is, facial features must be eurocentric to be pretty. Megan fox, kim k, most models have eurocentric features,, for example.

Large eyes are common amongst Indians - especially in Bengal. They’re known to have big wide eyes. I think it’s not eurocentric. That’s just what looks most beautiful. V-shaped jaws, high and sculpted cheekbones, big wide eyes, plump lips - I mean plump lips aren’t really eurocentric. In fact Europeans are commonly thought to have small and flat lips.

The most attracted skin colour is thought to be that with an olive tinge and is medium toned. In women Aishwarya Rai has that type of skin colour. For men it’s more like Arjun Rampal’s colour that is considered to be very beautiful like a burnt orange with an olive tinge again. It’s sexy and hot.

I mean eurocentric beauty standards favor Caucasians and most indians have caucasian skulls like middle easterns and europeans. I'm talking about the effect of it to ethnics who don't posses such features such as southeast Asians, black women, etc..

Umm it does make a lot of East and South East Asians go for ethnic surgeries but they never really give them completely caucasoid features.

Yes because we (Asian pacific, east Asian, southeast Asian, black women, etc) have mongoloid skull. They can't make us look caucasian. Many east and southeast go for surgery to at least possess such features. They don't believe that they can be as pretty as others too but the world prefers Caucasians when it comes to beauty, sadly.

Western beauty standards are popular globally but please, large eyes, pointy noses, or angular faces are not purely Eurocentric features 😐 not everyone wants to look European, places do have their own culture and idols/celebrities. Even the whole Asians wanting to look paler, it’s not cause they want to look like white people. It goes back even in history as part of their culture.
Rather than saying Eurocentric features are pretty, it’s more like some people consider features like big eyes, pointy noses, and angular faces to be aesthetically pleasing/pretty.

Asians and Africans naturally have those features too. Just because caucasians have them more predominantly doesn’t mean everyone wants to look Caucasian when they want those features. For example, most East Asian countries are homogeneous, they barely care about western beauty standards, they have their own beauty standards. When they get surgery for double eye lids to get bigger eyes or get surgery for a high nose bridge, it’s because they have their own Asian celebrity who has those features they want to look like. Which is why even though Caucasians have those features more often, it’s wrong to say Eurocentric features are the beauty standard globally. People aren’t trying to look Eurocentric in the first place.

But as far as i remember, rhinoplasty was first introduced by Americans to the Japanese and koreans to make their face "pleasing" to other Americans after ww2.
Many of those Asians or Africans who have those features are mixed with other Caucasians. Mind you, indians and middle easterns have caucasiod skull as well. We, east Asian, southeast Asians, have mongoloid skull. Due to european colonization, many think that european features are the prettiest and the mindset is still prevalent. Of course, they can do surgery to have those european features, but since our skull is mongoloid and bot caucasiod, we can never look as caucasian as them. Hence, we can see many Asians who do plastic surgery to have bigger eyes, pointier nose, pointier chin (caucasiod angular skull) but the kpop celeb looking today is as far as they can get with the eurocentric surgery, due to the skull difference. Before european colonization, maybe except for skin color, the beauty standards in asia weren't really the same. They wasn't demand for taller pointier nose. They prefer egg shape face more than angular.

And as for thr Africans who have those features, I can only recall Ethiopians, whose people, through history, have been mixed with caucasian people in the past due to its geological position, near to the middle east where people there have caucasiod skull too.

You’re wrong that skin colors don’t matter, in fact light or pale skin is the most preferable in our society , especially in asia our beauty standard is white/light skin, skinny v shape face , pointed nose.. this is why the world of plastic surgery and bleaching cream are big businesses lol 😂

I live in India and trust me, people go crazy for having pale skin. My skin is a little pale and some people are like: did you bleach your skin? I’m like: wtf? No! It’s my natural skin color” it’s crazy how racist people can be without realizing that they’re being racist

Since indians are born with caucasiod skull, indians naturally have european features. That's why i think cosmetic surgery isn't common there. However the skin brightening industry sells a lot. They are selling insecurities.
