People keep complaining about it, But it's always white people I see online selling-out and demeaning other white people.
And it really looks like nonwhites are very adequately represented in all aspects of media and society.
So I think people are desperately clinging to racial concepts that are no longer relevant, For whatever reasons.

White people are not usually great judges of how much representation there is of non-whites anywhere.

Anyway, all I know is when it comes to dating, whites are still the preferred race. There are very few people out there who neither prefer whites or just flat out wouldn't be attracted to a white person. But there are still people who can't see a black woman as attractive, especially darker black women who lack "European features," and there are still plenty of people out there who can't see an Asian as attractive. You can argue "preference" all you want, but there is an issue when you can't find a single person of a particular nonwhite race who is attractive, especially since very few people ever say, "I am not physically attracted to whites. It's just preference." Think about it.

I also know this--watch a TV show that has people of color mixed in with whites and see how many of them aren't rolling around in the bed with a white person, especially the attractive people of color. Why do good-looking people of color on TV shows that aren't geared towards minority audiences have to roll around in the sack with white people all the time? Priyanka Chopra, Kerry Washington, Teka Sumpter. It's like one sexy person of color is the limit, but there is always multiple desirable white people and even the person of color desires them.

I mean, but you seem like the type of person who won't appreciate the content of my response, though, but hopefully some others do. Long story short, we're still be told everywhere that whites are the standard of beauty.

If the audience is mostly white and responds best to white people then it's just pandering to their audience. Of course white people are going to be the standard of beauty, if the audience is mostly white then how else would that go? No standards of beauty? Ok, let's have a whole bunch of people most of the audience doesn't find attractive, that'll boost ratings, wtf. Multiple standards of beauty then? Probably a little better than none but it's basically the same thing. Pandering to a minority is worse than pandering to a majority.

Eurocentric beauty standards are how people are represented in the media.
Typical eurocentric beauty standards would be big eyes, strong jaw line, narrow faces or light, wavy hair, which for example doesn't apply to Asians. And guess what, double eyelid tape/surgery or jaw reshaping methods are very common in asia. The common Asian model looks very cuacasion compared to the more normal Asian face

No, and I only say this because certain places of business won't hire me because I wear my hair in its natural, afro-like state. In reality, many of my features such as my wide nose, full lips and dark skin are found to be less attractive by society as a whole. Although I am considered either average looking or cute by my peers, I still don't fit that American standard of beauty as a whole. I'm happy being who I am but, lighter skinned women are still held on a pedestal. I hope what I just typed makes sense haha

Nowadays if something has white people only in it, like a movie, or a clothing store website/advertisement, it often gets criticised nowadays, despite the fact that they are the dominant group in that country. So yeah I have noticed a lot of diversity in media and I am certainly not complaining, because the typical white (especially the blonde hair blue eyes) look is overrated to me in my opinion.

Just the fact that skin lightening creams are still being sold in non-white nations is enough to pretty definitively show that Eurocentric beauty standards are very much still an issue. Like, your personal experience is all nice and well and all, but there's definitely more to the world than what you can see on your TV or computer.

Every race has it's standards of beauty. I have been to Asia and I saw African models, Asian models in their adds. You know!
But in my middle eastern society nope! Because our typical woman looks like white women. And western beauty standards are not common in my community because of media. It's just because people like it, especially because these standards are not overwhelming in our genes. And people love rare, difficultly found things.

Not sure how "tall" and "pale skin" has to do with white people... Asians can be pale as well and they can be tall AS WELL. White people aren't glorified everywhere. When I lived in China a lot of Chinese laughed and thought white people always look so fat (even when they weren't) and have huge noses so no. Just no. Some maybe, but in general, no.

Due to millions of years of evolution, our brains have been wired to prefer the company of people who look like us.
Anyone who does not look like us is the 'other', the enemy who wants to kill us and take our resources.
I find other races to range between being aesthetically unattractive to utterly repulsive. There is not one physical characteristic of another race that I find to be attractive.
