I was heavy into fashion starting as a teenager and for many years; it's always been an interest. Though I don't like the 'fast fashion' lower-quality fabrics, throwaway culture of clothing now. The pieces shrink (they've stopped preshrinking fabrics, to save money on sizing and manufacturing so guessing the final size is a complete joke), and fall apart, and pill, very quickly now. They don't last long. I try for classic pieces, but classic will never be polyester.
My husband's been looking up fashion trends (for the first time since I've known him, for two decades) and he says the styles are boring, colourless, and all the same, no matter what online stores you look at.10 Reply

+1 yI often wear 40s-60s styles. Retro.
Or I go casual but I keep it classy.
I don't follow the latest trends, but sometimes I like to explore fashion and understand and choose what I wear carefully as it will affect the first impression people will have of me.10 Reply
+1 yFuck no, I dont keep up with shit.
For work i wear fucked up old clothes.
For dressing up, i love my double beasted 3 piece suit from the 1920s. (I looking damn good in it)
For parties man its a free for all. I like to mix genders of clothing. Like the party I'm going to next weekend. I will be wearing the top half of my 1950s Zoot suit with the gaint Fedora hat and on the bottom I will be wearing a Poodle Skirt, Crinoline, bobby socks and saddle shoes. To top off the effect. I will be shaving my legs. (See they are giving out prizes for best costume, grand prize is a thousand bucks in cash)10 Reply

it’s also something my ex wife and me have instilled in to our daughter, be independent, do your own thing, don’t follow bollox on social media.
I've never done it, growing up we were too poor to keep up to date, then you see how they change and are just money generation used on Sheep that need to think they are with it lol.10 Reply

As a person I am a combination of both old fashioned and modern at the same time. Meaning in certain things I am old fashioned and in certain things I am modern, I am talking about attitude wise because thinking and attitude is eventually reflected in actions.

+1 yOh, absolutely not at all and I no longer care much. Fortunately men's fashion doesn't change as fast as women's, especially when you're talking about conservative or more formal attire, although I have to say that no matter how popular skinny fit suits are, I'm not going to walk around looking like PeeWee Herman.
10 ReplyI am up to date with what the trends are, because I have always had an interest in style and fashion.
I don’t jump on every trend. I have my own look, and will update pieces as and when necessary if it’s something that I can wear on repeat without it dating.10 Reply- 2.1K opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic.
u +1 yI dress conservatively. That means that my clothes do not represent the current fashion trends, but it also means that I am never out of fashion.
I spend time with young men and women in college and I observe how they are dressed. Some of the current fashions are okay, but you will never see me with green hair!10 Reply As far as latest fashions, dress style, most popular entertainment program, etc. I'm afraid I'm a bit of a dinosaur. Tech trends, politics, environment, I'm more up to date. Science, specifically the space sciences, that's my main interest. Where I'm most knowledgeable.

+1 yI'm old enough I don't care about that, since I get to work from home and I really hate going out to go anywhere, I don't worry about that kind of stuff.
If I do need to go out, I just get as nice looking as I can... I do go riding and hiking and generally that is more about comfort than looks anyways.10 Reply- 556 opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic.
+1 yI don't... I just wear whatever I like and think looks cute. I literally own clothes from when I was 15 still.

+1 yNot very, lol. I notice trends that I see around, but do not really keep on top of it or follow trends. I tend to just do what I like, whether it's a very dated trend or the latest.

Thanks for the invite.10 ReplyI’m a country girl and that’s what I dress like. The only brands I care about are Realtree and Mossy Oak. The rest of my clothes are just whatever I like.
10 ReplyT-shirts with places I've either lived or visited. Camo pants in winter, shorts in spring to fall. One jacket with Coast Guard Veteran plastered all over it, and my Coast Guard, Vietnam Veteran hat. Sometimes with socks, sometimes without.
