Shampoo vs conditioner. Which is bettet?

Conditioner.
The active ingredient in shampoo is always one of a handful of "ionic surfactants" (usually sodium lauryl/laureth sulphate or ammonium lauryl sulphate) - it's essentially no different from shower gel, bubble bath, dish washing liquid, laundry detergents etc. The other ingredients are just there to give it the right colour, smell and consistency - or in minute quantities, purely for marketing purposes (because it looks good written on the bottle, even if it does nothing).
Conditioner has a far more complex and variable composition, with additives including sun-block (to prevent colour fading), heat absorbers (to prevent damage from blow drying etc), anti-statics (to prevent frizz), glossers (to increase shine), etc. Unlike shampoo, there isn't really anything else you could use instead, and the brand *does* make a difference to how it performs.
Conditioner since it also cleans which people on here do not seem to know hehe. Not as well may i add but considering no one has ever told me my hair is dirty and i've been using only conditioner for the past 2 years since i dyed my hair.
Logic would dictate shampoo makes no difference.
Also some hair dye things like what i buy to keep the color in longer or brighten say use instead of shampoo.
And it's a conditioner.
I’ll pick the conditioner. The soap can clean my hair since I won’t have shampoo as an option. The conditioner is to put all the healthy minerals back into my hair so it doesn’t dry out.
hmmm now im thinking which one could i hit adam sandler in the head with and drown him in that tub, HE IS NOT FUNNY NEVER BEEN FUNNY!!!
i will go with shampoo-
I like his more dramatic roles personally lol

Some are saying that Baby Shampoo is good and better for Adults than Shampoo that only Adults use here I'll share this with you: Johnson & Johnson doctors recommended. A late friend's son had bad acne and this is what the doctor recommend for him to lose.
If I had to choose one then I would choose shampoo because the main purpose is cleaning the hair but I use both because I also want it to be silky and smooth.
They are two completely different things that do different jobs, but if I had to pick one, the Shampoo b/c it cleans the hair, my hair is luckily really soft and smooth without conditioner anyway.
Co-washing is a thing. But I'd say keep the shampoo and just use a deep conditioner because that is different from regular conditioner and you didn't specify!
Both is needed, first shampoo then conditioner or you can use 2-in-1 shampoo plus conditioner.
If someone forced you with a gun to choose one or the other, which do you choose?
Gun goes off see ya!
Squirt gun… with red cherry kool aid so it stains your clothes ;)
The naughty kind? Hmmm
Maybe you should give me a follow some time ;)
Shampoo of course, it cleans the hair. I use usual shampoo for the beard and i use conditioner too, i like that smooth feel with my beard. If i skip the conditioner i cab always use beard oils after shower to keep it smooth
I use both but shampoo is essential conditioner is more like aftercare
Muahahaaaaa
Itchy head would make you hate shampoo without conditioner.. and conditioner can still be considered a cleaner, so have to go with conditioner.
I only ever use shampoo haven't used conditioner for years don't really have much left to condition 🤣
I love that conditioner helps keep my hair from getting too dry, but without shampoo I wouldn't have clean hair.
My hair type apparently doesn’t need conditioner. My go to shampoo has always been Garnier Fructis. I currently love the coconut water and aloe vera.
Shampoo. I'd rather have clean hair than silky smooth hair
Shampoo, it's more important to have clean hair. Hygiene is more important than beauty
If I had to choose only one, I choose the shampoo. Can't go around with nasty hair 🤢
Conditioner. All's you have to do is melt down dove soap, coconut oil, and a bit of vitamin E oil, and voila you have a shampoo.
Both are necessary for me, but if I had to choose I would go for shampoo since it cleans the hair.
you need both honestly, shampoo for the scalp, and conditioner for the hair
Both are necessary. But if I could only have one, I guess I’d choose shampoo.
You use both, shampoo then conditioner but don’t wash hair every day
Both are important...
they both have different uses so
i prefer conditioner because my hair is hella dry it needs moisture but i need to clean my scalp first so shampoo is required
Well many many many conditioners recently saved my hair and a shampoo ruined it so conditioner rules
Why wouldn’t you use both?
But if you could only use one?
That’s a silly question 😊. I’ve used both since I was 12.
Shampoo I guess
Muahahaaaaa
Neither. Both are important for healthy, clean, and nice hair. Shampoo is not good if your trying to grow out your hair, and at the same time, conditioner is not ideal if you have curls like me.
Isn't this like saying, "Which is more important to run an engine - oil or fuel?" If you don't have both, you're not running the engine very long.
Shampoo, #1... I want my hair to be clean. I can get along with conditioner
I only use Dr Bronner's Castile Soap for washing my hair and beard and only in cold water.
I'd rather have clean hair than shiny
i just use both (;へ:)
Shampoo, my scalp would kill me without it.
Shampoo, having clean hair is more important.
I used Head And Shoulders for hair and body wash.
I don't have time to condition my hair.
I love shampoo. Clean hair.
I just use 2 in 1 of both😂
I just use soap.
