Why would someone from Europe like darker hair/eyes?

My friend who’s German says he really likes that I have dark curly hair and dark eyes and finds it attractive and I found that surprising because dark hair and eyes are really common so most people don’t find them particularly attractive.

Okay so I start talking to this girl and I find out who she is on the inside she's happy she's confident she's a smart intelligent she has a beautiful heart and I like her. That's it I like her. So now that I like her can we start talking about color of hair eyes I'm going to say I like dark hair and dark eyes the outside of a person is just a bonus it's all a bonus when the person find a girl attractive on the inside that's all he cares about and everything on the outside that comes with the girls on the inside he's going to like. If a guy likes you on the inside and you have one blue eye and one brown eye he's going to tell you that's just the way he likes it

I prefer jet black or dark brown hair and dark brown eyes to the point where the irises look like part of the pupils in most cases. Exceptions exist, but not often, and most of them are unrealistic shades, like rainbow colors, or a strong bright blue.

Wait until you start traveling. Some folks will think your appearance is so unique and different. It just depends on where you go.

Why wouldn't they? There are tons of white people (of European descent) who are attracted to blacks, Hispanics, Asians and others, and there are tons of blacks, Hispanics and Asians who are attracted to whites. Why would this be surprising?

No, people don't necessarily prefer light hair and light eyes? That is a myth, and people like you are the biggest perpetuators of that myth.
