I am not wearing mask if I and my husband are at home, because we both are fully vaccinated, we keep our home clean, enjoy enough sunlight and free from any single health issues. But we never step out of our home with properly wearing mask, and still try to keep distance from crowd. We strictly follow instructions of government and local health authority. As more and more people become fully vaccinated, many are wondering when life will return to normal, but we do not.
As we understood, face masks and physical distancing will need to continue into the foreseeable future, getting vaccinated does not instantly mean we can go back to how life was before, until we have some level of herd immunity, the vaccine is now just another layer of protection against COVID-19.
Fully vaccinated people can now safely gather indoors, in small gatherings with other people who are fully vaccinated, no mask required. But it is important to continue to wear face masks and maintain physical distance while in public spaces – we are not out of the woods yet.
Some reasons to still wear a face mask after we are vaccinated include:
It takes time for the vaccine to kick in, nobody reach the nearly 95% effectiveness rate until two weeks after second dose of the vaccine. After the first dose, we do get a partial immune response, but it does not mean we are immediately protected the minute the needle goes in your arm.
And the vaccines do not provide 100% protection. In comparison, the measles vaccine is 97% effective after two doses. The vaccination program began in 1963, but the disease is not considered eliminated until 2021. The same logic works here. Those who have been vaccinated might be asymptomatic spreaders.
Some people need one more booster dose, there might be some waning in the protection after a certain amount of time and the hope is to give the immune systems of eligible patients a boost to help protect against breakthrough cases. The vaccine is not an automatic off switch for the pandemic; it is now one tool in our kit of resources to fight the pandemic. We still need to continue universal masking when in public, hand washing, avoiding large crowds and keep physical distance when we are around others who are not fully vaccinated.

I Love Wearing My Worn Panties For A Mask!!!

@joeldalton BEST response ever!
I’m wearing one everywhere this week, because I have a cold, and the whole mask think the last year and a half made me realize how simple it is to wear one, so I’ve decided to adopt the Eastern custom of wearing a mask in public when I’M under the weather. I respect the hell out of that custom, that’s what giving a shit about strangers around you looks like. Not doing it for the praise, I expect none, I assume people think I’m wearing it for Covid reasons. It’s unfortunate that it’s been made into such a culture war, because I know I definitely feel better out in public when others are masked, just for contagious disease in general. I don’t want to get a cold, let alone Covid lmao. Obviously you can’t completely hide from these things, and in non-Covid times you can’t expect everyone to wear a mask IN CASE they have a cold or something, but it’d go a long way if more people were considerate when they themselves were knowingly infected with any kind of illness and took steps to prevent spreading it, even if somewhat inconvenient for themselves.
My guy! This is why you're my favorite!
@ShaTTeredMasterpeace You know I do it for the people😎
I'm "required" at work but basically nobody actually does anymore, including the CEO. It was something they abandoned back in March and then brought back a couple months later as a knee-jerk reaction to Delta, and it's been tapering off to being more of a half-hearted suggestion ever since. Every restaurant I've been to in the last 6 weeks or so has abandoned it even for employees too.

Yeah, we have to wear the op masks
Since this new strain of the virus has been discovered and announced, here in the UK I believe it's about to become mandatory again, especially pubs, clubs, shops, restaurants and of course all public transport... In other words, pretty much everywhere.
As for me I still do especially when I’m on the job or go to indoor public places such as supermarkets, banks & more. At one time my employer temporarily lifted the mask mandates & I still had mine on & some of my coworkers laughed until they got sick.
I wear a mask and try to maintain social distancing whenever I'm in a store or restaurant, or anywhere where there are large groupings of people who are strangers to me. It's a reasonable thing to do since vaccines are becoming less and less effective against the SARS2 (COVID-19) virus.
I don't unless I'm going to be kicked out of an establishment then I'll take the one out of my pocket and put it on I think at this point unless you've been living under a rock you've either been vaccinated exposed or killed from this disease and they have treatment options now in case you do get it so I think they're just dragging around a dead horse now
Yes, I do wear my mask even though I am vaccinated because I like to keep my lungs strong enough to not be defeated by breathing thought few layers of nanofibrils.
Doctors could do it before COVID. And I am not such a weakling to be unable to breathe through small resistance of the respirator.
It's mandatory at my job to wear a mask so yeah I do... But if wearing masks help, why do I keep getting texts from my job about "another"team member testing positive for COVID yet they never say what department🤷
I do not like wearing a mask, but still I do as it is the right thing to do. Either to the people or to yourself.
When in closed areas outside, yes I still wear the mask. But when in open areas, no, I do not.
Yes I do. I work at a school where it's required. I'm also vaccinated and getting tested weekly. I don't mask around people I've been around, but when I'm out and about, I'm masked up.
No - I never did actually - nothing political I just get really red and sweaty when wearing one and worst consequences would be at most to sit at home for 14 days - best deal I made with myself if you ask me
I never wore one for covid. It goes against 40 years of scientific research and laboratory best practices, I'm not a Muslim woman, and I don’t follow clothing fashion trends.
I wear it when I am outside. I don't underestimate corona and have no intentions of messing with it.
Nope not anymore. Not for months actually. I don't see much point to it anymore. Hospitals and doctors offices being the exception but even there it's not truly enforced
Yes, I do
Where I live, it's mandatory in almost all indoor spaces, shops and public transportation
Only in shopping centres, public transport, hospitals and GP offices/ medical centres and any other indoor places where it is mandatory to wear a face mask outside nope don’t wear one while outside as it is not mandatory
I have to wear a mask at my job because I work in a nursing home. I don’t wear a mask when I’m going out in public because it’s just ridiculous! Wear the mask for your own damn safety, not for the safety of others!
Yes, I wear it everywhere. Mainly to respect others and myself who are really afraid of covid or don't get vaccinated for X reason.
Yes. And will continue to. I wore one to keep fumes down while riding long before covid.
If you want to access closed spaces such as bars and restaurants, you better have one handy. If you don't wear it on the street, that's ok, for now.
Nope. I haven’t yet and won’t. I believe we were lied to about this whole covid thing.
I miss seeing beautiful faces and smiles.
Yeah I do if an area mandates it.
from Tuesday it’s going to be mandated for pretty much everywhere not outside.
NO, unless somehow forced. The *whole point* of getting vaccinated was to stop wearing the nearly useless face diaper carbon dioxide rebreathers.
Dear sir, may I ask a question about this interesting Schrödinger's mask paradox?
If by "nearly useless" you mean against the virus, then how can the same mask simultaneously allow the passage of COVID virus (50-140 nm) and yet it accumulates the CO2 (0.33 nm) and doesn't let in the O2 (0.3 nm)?
No.
But they're no doubt introducing that shit here.
Let's see what happens and what pressure I get put under.
Where ever it's required
So not when I'm home or alone outside
Good God no. I won't go to a business that requires it either. Not gonna support a business that is going to put fear into someone's mind instead of sense of joy.
Off topic, who is the female in the second picture?
@Xtcy2083 don't I wish
No more than I absolutely have to!! The entire idea is utterly stupid!! Even doctors say it's no guard against the virus!!
Yes and I hate but today it is what it is I guess it's The New Normal
"A mask a day / keeps the virus away."
Alright, alright, I'll take my coat...
I don't wear one if I don't have to (which hasn't been for a long time).
Only on EMS calls and at the hospital.
More precautions on calls with flu like symptoms.
Then comes the decon.
Yes, only because I have to. Where I live, it’s required in all public buildings. 😕
No I do not. Because it wasn't really needed in the first place.
Why Im not wearing a mask? Well watch any or all three of the videos in my first asked question and think for yourself.
Yes of course virse is still there and new version of the virse from Africa and not sure if vaccine will even work. So mask washing hands keeping back from people what we have to do.
Yes, I'm usually the only person in an establishment to do so.
Yeah and it's good you do to. Despite being Indian...
Yes. I'm vaccinated. I just don't trust people, especially here in the US.
Depends where I am, but I'm triple vaxxed and I had Covid back in 2020. You anti-vaxxers are on your own.
i still wear it but its not strictly compulsory where i live
yep wearing mask. when is busy and in a cafe or indoor places.
I was vaccinated in March and really only wear a mask at the doctor's office.
Virtue signalling muzzled slave dogs think they are moral and intelligent when really they are cowards cementing the continued slavery of us all
I have to at school, but outside of school I usually don't
Yes masks are required in most indoor settings here. I wear one where it is required.
"TWO WEEKS TO FLATTEN THE CURVE"
LMAO
Not really where, i am in vacation and ots not so needed outside here lol
Of course, especially as the mandate is coming back on Tuesday, here in the UK
why would you cover u a face that gorgeous?
me niether.
yes, I want to set a good example. [also I don't want people to think I'm a republican hehe]
Not - unless I have to go into a Government building, Doctors Surgery or supermarkets.
I’m vaccinated, so I see no reason to unless it’s required.
Yes, I have started wearing masks again, but only when its necessary.
Respirators FFP2 are mandatory indoors here where I live so I rarely use mask.
Yes it’s flu season and not everyone has been vaccinated.
I do if the business asks, or if there are crowds, or old people/kids around.
I never wore one.
Anti thinkers wear them all the time.
you fucking toddler
Totally logical responds
Only in closed and crowded areas I wear.
Who is she on that photos?
Yes, it's the safe and respectful thing to do.
Only when required as I am vaccinated.
@loves2learn
The sad thing is, it still doesn't fully prevent you from catching it, as I found out to my horror a month or so ago... I'm still trying to recover from it. ❤
Ugh. That is sad. I’m sorry to hear that. At truth be told I just found out about the African variant yesterday. I don’t *think* it is here yet but I know it is coming.
@loves2learn
I did hear last night that two cases have been found here, and so new stringent measures are about to be put in place, which I believe we will know about this coming Tuesday.
Never used a wask wast of time hugs beautiful ladies
Fuck no! You are beautiful don't wear a face diaper.
