+1 yDepends where I am. As anyone with a functional brain and who has been paying attention by now surely knows and understands, our own masks don’t protect us, it’s more that it protects others. Wearing a mask is about respect for others, not personal protection. I have respect for others, so I wear a mask in large public indoor venues, like grocery stores, etc, where I would be potentially directly exposing someone who may not be vaccinated.
That’s literally what this is all about…. not everyone is vaxxed, for reasons I may or may not agree with, but it’s still my responsibility as a decent human to protect those people, even if I’m frustrated that they’re the ones prolonging the need for me to protect them and prolonging the need for masks. I’m vaxxed and boosted, I’m as safe as I can possibly be, so at this point I don’t worry for myself. A great deal of people have unfortunately been misinformed though, so it’s up to me and everyone else to try to keep them safe since they’ve chosen not to protect themselves.10 Reply

I'm not by nature a mean guy, I assume the governments going to overreach and if you expect it it should be less offensive.
My personal thoughts are
1: if masks were effective when they require us all to wear the right mask instead of like bandanas and painting masks and all kinds of other mass that don't have the proper micron size filter I'm just saying
I don't like masks but I wear them and this is going to sound like bragging or I'm macho b******* whatever I wear them so that some little want to be junior Caesar doesn't get the point at the door until you get up if you don't wear a mask that's the only reason00 Reply
1.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I still wear a mask if I go out. But it seems people don't care if they enter your home wearing their mask under their chin when they are talking! Duh! If I can remember, I put it on when people come over. Most of the people that come over are people making repairs, etc. I won't tell them to wear a mask around me, but I feel better wearing one when they are in my home. I don't know them, or where they've been or if they even wash their hands. They look pretty germy and dirty/sweaty. I just feel safer with a mask on 😷

+1 yThe only time I wore (wear) a mask was at the beginning of this when we didn't know really what it was. after they tried to make 2 weeks to flatten the curve the rest of our fecking lives I said screw this noise and have not worn one for about a year and a half. EXCEPT into doctors and doctors offices because their panties get super bunched up and unfortunately I only have one or two choices for medical care here :/

I have been wearing mask for almost 2 years, carrying sanitizers and maintaining social distance and that's how I never got infected.
31 Reply- +1 y
I'd be willing to bet either you have been infected already or you will be soon. Not wishing you harm, it's just the facts of the matter. COVID is endemic just like the flu at this point and we need to go back to how we lived pre-2020
+1 yI do. It actually saves me applying make up. 😂 Also, surgeons had to wear them loooong before us, so I guess there must be some science to offering a source of protection 🧐
But I’m serious on the make up thing, I love being lazy and not having to apply it. One less thing to do.20 Reply600 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Of course. Even being fully vaccinated and having my booster--I still wear my mask everywhere I go outside and inside stores. You can still get sick with the virus--and spread it to others if you get, or dont get symptoms. This is something that foolish people who walk in nonchantly without a mask to stores, don't know.

+1 yI currently have covid and I always wear my mask AND have the stupid shot. Yet here I am. Dealing with this bullshit ass virus. Coughing up my lungs every 5 seconds. Blowing blood from my nose. So I'm really starting to think that it doesn't fucking matter either way.
23 Reply- +1 y
To be fair you would be worse without the shot.
The shot doesn't make you immune.
It just makes your body more used to fighting it. - +1 y
@cookiecrusher I have an autoimmune disease so I was screwed either way

And not in a good way 🙃😗
+1 yYes, and they are still mandated. I am glad the is, and I'll be wearing a show just like many Asian nations did way before when I am sick post mandate
. I remember back in 2018ish; I wondered what it would take for Westerners to wear a mask when sick.
Like it like a bandaid, you don't wear it before you get a cut; you wear it after to protect the weaker part of your body
The reason why everyone needs a mask, sick or not right now is that we don't know a lot about this virus, and the fact you could be carrying it without knowing wearing a mask will keep the virus contained where it cannot harm and instead of infecting the weaker immune comprised around us00 ReplyI have been vaccinated (twice) and planning on getting the booster shot soon. And I still wear my mask when I go to places. I wear my mask at work, I wear even sometimes wear my mask while I'm getting food at the drive through. I also bring around hand sanitizer and definitely use the Lysol wipes when I go to the grocery store to wipe down the handles on the shopping carts.
12 Reply- +1 y
Because she can still catch the virus her body will be able to fight it off but if she mask it keeps the virus contained and allows her white blood cells to get rid of the whole thing and not let it escape into the air and infect non vaccinated
I don't wear my mask for myself I wear it for those who can't

+1 yNot unless I have to. They were used to lower transmission. China used masks and they were the founder of the virus. They have some value… depending… and was all we had early on.
There are still people going down with this I’llness but it’s less. That was true of flu and other illnesses. As long as is manageable should be a choice.
I’m partial to the full headgear… don’t have to comb hair anymore00 Reply
+1 yI never wore one.
at the beginning when it wasn’t so strict never wore it until the store made me one day and actually gave me 1. And after that I just didn’t go anywhere. Just Amazon anything I need no mask except that 1 time for like 5 minutes. Never had COVID never been tested no vaccination no booster healthy as ever. Just kickin it.00 Reply5.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I never did.
I'll take that back, I had to go to the eye doctor a few times and the morons gave me a mask and made me wear it in the office. But I pulled it down except when I was in the room with the so-called doctor.
But I never wore one in public or in any other place of business. If they insisted, I left and vowed never to patronize their establishment again.00 Reply
+1 yI still wear a mask whenever I'm inside a building or on public transport. I only take it off when I'm outside. I don't trust other people to be honest and self isolated, and it's possible I could be a symptomless carrier. Going to keep doing it until the pandemic is over. The people who refuse to wear one (besides health reasons) are the idiots who prolong the pandemic.

+1 yI still do, I have one with a filter so I know I'm not breathing out anything that could potentially infect someone else (even though I'm fully vaccinated and so far never haven't caught the virus) as it's no inconvenience to me but could prevent someone else from catching something from me.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yI still do wear is sometimes. Because humans are disgusting. They breath smells. You don’t know what kind of cuties they carry. A lot of them spray their snot out and about. The vehicles spray that fuel all over your face. The smokers just blow their disgusting breath-smoke out in the air to contaminate everyone. Some people don’t wash their mouth, or teeth or tongue. Some people fart in front of you without you knowing.
NO THANKYOU. MASK 100% 😷😷😷😷22 Reply

Only where it's required, like airports, planes, and healthcare settings. They probably won't relax those places for a long time.
I did go to a local game store the other day and they still required a mask. I keep cute ones in my car so I don't mind. It can be a lot of people at tables in a small space so I can understand if they still want to be cautious.00 Reply- 7.7K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.

I agree!! If the mask supposedly keeps the virus from getting into your nose or mouth, what keeps it from getting into your eyes? I've never seen anybody wearing goggles or a scuba mask. A mask is about the same as when, 200 years ago, a Dr. would put leeches on you to bleed the ailment out of you. Or a voodoo witch Dr. doing his mumbo jumbo to cure this or that!00 Reply Yes I will continue to wear a mask until it is 100% completely safe not to use it anymore. The virus still can infect people if you dotn wear a mask as simple as that. It is like an epidemiologist said in my country. The governments could take all the restrictions out such as social distancing, transportación restriction, but the last thing they have to take away is the mask use, the mask use has to be the last restriction a country will h ave to drop.

+1 yReasons I still wear a mask:
1. People have bad breath.
2. Some people spit when they talk.
3. Bank Tellers are very attentive if you use a bandana.
4. So I can keep making faces at dipshits of all ages.
5. Cause of the cameras man... cameras everywhere man...
I never put the mask up for protection. I put it on for added public privacy.00 Reply
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yNope. I held out as long as I could with this crap, and I'm done. I put my mask on, went into a restaurant and saw the cooks with their masks on their chin. Nancy Pelosi does the very same thing. All of the elites only wear masks when there's a camera present.
The mayor of New Orleans just imposed a strict indoor mask mandate, and then she got busted during mardi gras for dancing at clubs where no one wore masks. Enough is enough.10 Reply314 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Wow... and ya all wonder why covid is still there... after how many locksdown...

Thats as pathetic as it can be00 ReplyI've been vaccinated twice and had a booster. I don't need to protect myself from the virus. Those around me have long had their chance to protect themselves and I'm done sacrificing my choice to not wear a mask for their safety, especially since there's like a 99.97% chance of survival for everyone besides the elderly
00 ReplyI don't wear it anymore.
1. I caught consecutively all 3 variations of Covid and got cured from all of them, with C-19 being the worst of all. The other 2 variations were terminated by my antibodies.
2. I caught them all despite wearing the mask all the time, which makes the stupid mask completely useless.00 Reply
+1 yYeah I wear a mask, if two people are wearing them properly it does prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other illnesses. I don’t like being ill in general. Also, it doesn’t bother me I forget I have it on most of the time
10 Reply18.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Since I’m fully vaxxed I’m 95% most likely not infecting others. But for politeness I wear it in crowds especially around old people.

Come on Subaru, don't be so disingenuous. Doctors and nurses wear an entirely different type of mask, and for an entirely different purpose (i. e surgery), a mask that effectively seals the face and leaves no gaps around the edges. The masks that we wear are just cheap copies made in China that are effective enough to prevent someone's sneeze droplets from touching you, but not much else.
- +1 y
@Bel88 They also wear surgical masks and N95s. Masks, when worn correctly are proven to help, the same way washing your hands and not touching your face helps reduce the spread of disease. Logical people wouldn't stop using protection when having sex because you can still get an STI or pregnant when using it, they would realize that some form of protection is better than none...

@Djaay that’s like saying You don’t have to worry about getting hepatitis or HPV if you’ve already been vaccinated…. A vaccine is designed to equip your body to be able to recognize and fight off a virus faster and more efficiently. Getting a vaccine doesn’t magically make you immune to it, just like washing you hands before you eat, but it sure as hell help.

@Djaay You must not be very familiar with the bible... Have you read the old testament? You realize the bible literally tells you to respect and obey your government right, but you won't bring that up will you? Or what about the part where he commands the genocide men women and children, or gave permission to take young girls as spoils of war as slaves. Or where he sent a bear to maul a bunch of children to death for laughing at a bald guy?
