I have an obsession with the Eras between 1920 and 1960. Most of my clothing choices come from the 20s, 40s, and 50s.

The last well-dressed decade, in my opinion, was the 60s. One of the best dressed decades was definitely 1950s. People wouldn't leave the house without putting something nice on, even the less wealthy folk had at least one outfit that they'd use for holidays or religious services.

Ever since the 80's people have been dressing like absolute trash. The worst dressed decade is the current one. People don't even dress up for interviews, holidays, trips, Operas or anything important anymore.

Definitely the 50's. That's when a woman could look really elegant. Now be honest --- the dress that Marilyn is wearing ---- does that look good on a woman today when she's got an entire arm's worth of ink, and maybe some on her chest, and down the other arm too? Hmmm, I think not.

I love the makeup and hair of 60s and 70s esp the big beehives and the fun eye looks. Fashion wise I like 90s and early 2000s, except for some Y2K trends. I’m not surprised most men picked 50s for womens fashion, that’s when women looked the most elegant and feminine, I’ll admit.

I agree with you on the 50's, but beehives? LOL I think any hairstyle where a woman would say "stop, you'll mess up my hair" when a man is trying to make love to her, is a BAD one !! :)

I love the fashions from the 40's to the early 60's. Very classy, feminine and sexy, just like the women, themselves. Love looking at old movies and seeing how beautiful they were back then.
