I wear crop tops which only cover as much as my breasts (but not quite), which haven't grown yet. My midriff (including my belly button which has a ring in it), my shoulders, my arms and my back are always bare. But I don't dress like that because I seek attention from boys (in fact, the amount of attention I get sometimes annoys me, just like their not understanding that I don't care about anyone else than my boyfriend), I dress like that because I don't feel like myself in other clothes. So one day I went out and a man saw me and said a bad word about me, thinking I wouldn't hear him.

Our choices will always draw opinions from others. I understand these judgments are inappropriate and inconsiderate, but it's your choice to wear what you wear in locations where people are more likely to judge you. You can dress differently in those situations or see their statements as their problem, not yours. Things only impact us when we feel there may be some truth in the statement. If someone says you have an ugly pet elephant (though you have no pet elephant), would it have any impact on you? Though you say you don't care about anyone other than your boyfriend, allowing their statements to negatively impact you shows you do care about how they feel and see things. My mother used to always say I was crazy to live on a farm rather than in the city. I just saw it as her problem, not mine.

As others have already mentioned, what exactly you need help with wasn't overly specific.

For the man, I'd simply avoid him or others who make comments. If possible, leave the area. If not, don't give him any indication that you heard him, it'll likely only engage him more.

As for the boys, do something similar. Jusr don't play into it at all, or at least do so by being short, so they understand it's not exactly welcome.

no, wearing crop tops shouldn't be a reason to get shit from others.
BUT, it is joined up with the idea of flaunting for attention. So you WILL always get some shit from others.
either deal with it and move on, or change your clothing style. Especially as a 14 year old trying to tell me your tops don't "quite" cover your breasts...

Um, what help do you need? You express yourself in the way you dress, as is your right; onlookers express themselves in what they say, as is theirs. If you want everyone to approve of what you do or stay silent, you're in for a rough ride in this life.

If you were my younger sister I would be concerned that you are dressing that way, not that there is anything wrong with it I get it that dressing that way makes you feel comfortable that's fine. However we live in a world where men prey on girls that don't wear crop tops. I guess what I'm trying to say is please be careful. There is nothing wrong with the way you dress and it shouldn't be an issue but this is the world we live in.

All I can say is get over it. If you dress like a sex object then you'll get treated like one. You shouldn't be dressing like that in the first place.
