No, tight braiding and weaves—even tight buns and ponytails—when worn over long periods of time can cause irreversible hair loss, called traction alopecia (baldness). My dermatologist has told me this

It looks beautiful. I don't know for certain, but I would worry that pulling the hair stands too tight could weaken them.

I don't know, I don't think it's bad for hair, you are just twisting and tying it right, as long as they wash the hair I don't think it's good or bad

If you are going to Twist Braids or Braids, it is an excellent thing to do. However, if you are not very careful with how you ensure the hair, you can destroy your natural hair because the process of twisting can cause the hair to break and leave hair extremely dry and brittle. So, please don't use the product on your hair before twisting them. Moreover, you can never go wrong with a protective style. Good Luck.

Yes, twist braids are good for hair because it can help to protect it from heat and breaking. Your hair is fragile and can easily get damaged if you do not take care of it. What you need to do when you have a twist braid is to make sure your hair is moisturized and spilt ends are trimmed and not left hanging. Make sure that you use a quality product as well. Some braiding hair products could be harmful to your hair. If you would like a healthy and beautiful braid, use Indique Hair. It will protect your hair and give a stunning finish.

Why does it matter if its a white person commenting on something? Also how is it a protective style?

Because it’s a natural hair style that black people do. I’ve never in my life seen a white personality wear twists, also even if they did white hair is different from black hair.

And it’s protective cause it protects your natural hair and allows it to grow without having to manipulate it

You are putting delicate new growth at risk and bald spots can occur. False hair is really not the best idea ever.

if you kept it on for very long periods of time, i wouldn't think it would be good for your hair.

Yes, as long as they’re not too small or too tight.

Hair styles like that can cause hair damage and breakage.

Probably not, though I've always wanted to wear my hair like that for a short period of time, not too long

Braids usually help protect your hair, if done by the right person.

@jasco I have had really good luck with braids and my hair has grown a lot. Just sometimes they are too tight and ruin my edges

Human hair extensions have many advantages. If you're thinking about trying them, you can ask a stylist to help you decide which type is best for you.

Why did 7 people disagree? European people can braid their hair if they want, but it's just facts that it isn't good for their hair lmao
