African braids are not for Caucasians. It'll ruin your hair. Tighter the braids (correct term is plaits, but I call them braids because I grew up with that term) makes your hair looks neater, I'll assume. When African people with short or normal length hair (mines short, but my airfro is a bit in the medium) want to wear wigs, we can have our hair in cornrows so the wig can fit better.

For me, leaving cornrows in, it makes my hair grow.

No the hair doesn’t actually connect to the brain at all. It may cause damage from being so tight but usually it just causes a loss of hair.

Well and then the thing is that black hair stylists literally just braid hair. My ex was black and after she started looking in to a few where she lived I started looking too and let me tell you it’s a whole thing they got to be good and they got to be fast but when they do it too tight the whole community knows.
