Why is it that on average we are affectionate and find cute animals that clearly look odd (dogs cows etc) but not to a human with a face like that?

If a human looks like a dog or Cow.
We literally find round animals adorable... and many animals including elephants.

But how is it that if we see a human with similar facial or physique features we say "ugly" or creepy looking.

Make it make sense please.

If a monkey looked like a baby, it would still be cute.. but a man looking like a monkey, why no?

I think it's because we don't have to socialize or interact with animals the same way as humans. If they're tame, we can also freely pet them, hold them, and cuddle with them. I think that can more quickly build a fondness and attachment even if they look ugly to us at first to the point of finding them cute.

I think there's also a thing going on with bad smells. Like if a dog smells kind of bad or has bad breath, we might forgive it more easily since dogs aren't capable of washing themselves as we can. Yet if a human smells like that, we associate it with bad hygiene since a human is capable of bathing and washing themselves.

While "rating" a human, our criteria is: will i fuck them or not? This is a personal thing

We are used to people looking a certain way and any slight change throws everything off.

Because we see animals as being better than some humans and lots of animals are compassionate in to humans.
