Are we attracted to people who look like us?

so I met this guy and I found him quite attractive the first time I saw him and there was something about him that pulled me towards him and I didn't know what it was. I have a twin brother.So then I tell my bff about this guy ans show his pic t my bff she goes " he looks kinda like you and your bro " I was like wtf at first but then I realized I do kind of look like him.Like we have the same face shape and the same eyes and lips and bone structure. LOL its so weird though. Have you guys ever been attracted to someone who looks like you?

my cousin and his wife look so much alike that people mistake them as siblings. I noticed that my sister and her long term boyfriend also look alike. I think it's some strange psychological thing. I do believe that in Some cases, peole who look alike have personalities that match together, therfore making them perfect for one another.

Since talking about race is very 'in' here lolololol! Yes! when it comes to race we are commonly attracted to our own race because of similar physical traits!

Studies have shown people to be attracted to others that resemble them physically. Biologically, we model our partners to the parent of the opposite sex. Obviously our parents also resemble us. Havea robin be raised by sparrows and it tries to mate with sparrows.

I don't really think so. In some subtle ways yes like similar lips or eye or hair color. I think you're stretching similarities here, but idk.

I guess some people are.. I'm not really like that though. I'm pretty light skinned for instance but I tend to be attracted to girls who have a darker complexion than me.

I believe there is some genetic truth for people (before socialization effects) having affinity for those that has similar features as themselves.

personally nope :) I've always been mistaken as the younger sister of my boyfriend but I was not initially attracted to him.
