Hey. I am a girl. My hair is long but I want to cut it really short like in the picture but I am afraid to cut as I am scared. Should I cut my hair?

It won't look like the picture. That is styled, you will be upset if you want to just get it cut and it look like that.

Look up more pictures, and see what it can look like for people with different types of hair (thin/thick, wavy/straight, etc.) Make sure you like how it would look even if it's not thinned and styled like that one girl in that one picture.

Also if you're still worried, ask the hair stylist if they think the cut you want will look good on you. They may even have suggestions for a similar cut that would look better!

I have thick hair and I regularly got cuts that didn't look or set like they did for other people, and it always bugged me, but I got used to it and learned to pick cuts that would look better with thick hair. 👍

It's all your hair so of course you can ignore this advice, but just a tip because hair can vary so much! Be sure you know different ways it could turn out, and don't set all your hopes on the one perfect way you want it to be—it probably won't be that. At least not without some styling after the cut. But it will always be fun to have a new look and new ways you can do your hair until it grows out again! (if you want to let it grow out again)

The fact that you are scared just indicates that you are not really ready to cut your hair. I can guarantee that you will regret it. Yes, hair grows back, but your long hair obviously gives you confidence, and you are not ready to give it up. If you were ready, it would not bother you.

Did something happen recently in your life that you feel it's time for a change?

Do you have a photograph of your hair long, by chance?

If you think you may be up for a change, just try taking off maybe an inch or so. Then, at least you can change your mind and you will have it back in a short period of time. If not, then try another inch, then another, maybe once a month. That will give you the chance to figure out what you really want.

I vote cut it if you've never had it short before. It's fun, your head feels lighter, and never will you feel like you got your money's worth at the salon (unless you're changing hair colors).

Hair grows back and let's be real, no guy has long hair as a dating exclusion criterion. He can say he has preferences all day, but there are very few who would straight up refuse a coffee date over that. The same guys will be just as happy that you spend less time getting ready in the bathroom.

I'm actually considering the same kinda thing. I've had long hair my whole life, so instead of going to the immediate shock of that short I'm going gradually shorter each time I get it cut. My plans are for just about shoulder length next time so it's still shorter but I can still pull it back

Personally I like long hair on a women. If your young I would say go for it because you can probably grow it back just as fast as you did the first time. But I know lots of women my age who had long hair and cut it off short and were never able to grow it back as thick or long as the first time and they really regretted it.

If you want to cut it "short," don't go that far. Don't go any shorter than shoulder length for starters, and then decide what you want to do from there.

It'll take a long time to regrow if you end up having regrets, so increments are better.

if your in the dating seen then most guys prefer girls with naturally long hair roughly shoulder length or longer. but there are some girls who can pull off shorter hair depending on style and facial features. although if you take good care of your hair it will grow back over time.

If you actually feel like it will look good on you, then go for it, there are a lot of other factors to go with it too like others opinions and even to the simplicity of washing shorter hair making daily life a little bit easier. if not, then consider fallout that may result.
scan the net, download several pics and narrow them down to a "top 3," then find someone COMPETENT to do it.
be consoled with the fact that - if you don't like it - it'll grow out again.

I once, as a guy, tried to grow my hair out. I HATED it. It was uncomfortable and I just decided to cut it again, however, a good way to go about cutting long hair, is to cut it in short increments, so, i went in once, had an inch or two cut, went in again, cut another inch or so, that way it wasn't so drastic, right away
