Hey everyone, I'm wanting to get my haircut after not cutting it in 10 years.. (Yes Last haircut was August 20th 2013).. Its very very long right now and I do want it cut but I'm kinda scared..
I'm scared that if I get it cut short like I once had it back in the day (Number 8 guard buzzcut), that i'll see a bald spot or it won't grow back for a very long time..
Plus I'm scared of the damned cowlicks I have that make my hair stick up like crazy..
I'm scared It'll make me look like someone I'm not as well..
Any advice please.

You don’t have to cut it all off. Cut half of it off and see if you want to go shorter from there. If you haven’t had a haircut in 10 years then you’ll have a lot of split ends.. which will look bad. Cut some off and go from there.
I already had my stylist girlfriend look at the split ends for me.. She told me.. Its extremely bad to the point I'm better off getting it buzzed..
I see. Well there’s not much advice that I can give you then. Hair can always grow back. Whatever you cut off will grow back in time if you don’t like it short. It’s your decision to make.
Do you think there is a chance that once the hair is gone.. That it will expose thinning hair that i know nothing about?
Seeings how you’re only in your 20’s, I highly doubt it, unless early balding is genetic in your family.
Plus you would already know if you’re balding. Long hair or short hair, bald patches show.
Why need to. Have a great personal care routine. Don't care what others think.
Then just start off with getting it trimmed a few inches and see how you like it.
